I've considered it but haven't taken the plunge yet. Like you, I am worried that it could be a slog to get through. I did tackle War and Peace last year and enjoyed it for what it's worth.

Who cares? If someone wants to believe an "insider" what do you care? I find it all entertaining and a great way to pass the time until a coach is formally named. Most of us know going in that 99% of "insider" scoops are fake news, but some people spend all their time trying to prove that no one has sauces. Why work so hard to discredit someone unless they are putting out really damaging info. Most of it is just stupid guess work. Nobody here has legitimate sources (outside side of a rare one or two), but it's a pleasant diversion. Let.people make up their own minds whether they want to believe or not.
King & Conqueror - Prime

A limited drama about William the Conqueror starring James Norton as Harold Godwinson and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as William. The cinematography was great, the acting was solid but the script was the weak point. It's compelling TV drama if you don't know or care much about this period of time and the Battle of Hastings. But if you know the history, you will recognize this series as fantasy because the writers just made up crap. I enjoyed it as a period drama piece but smh at how far the script was from actual history. I didn’t hate watching it.
The camera's on the court, not the bench.

I just finished Canace Millard's excellent biography of Garfield. I saw this series just this morning and watched the first episode. While reading the biography I kept thinking this would make a great film.

They're all taking money from pharmaceutical and healthcare lobbyists. The Dems are all in and the GOP is too scared to face it head on and lose that money.
All the entertaining posters were run off.
It doesn't matter because they're all millionaires anyway. They wouldn't even miss their congressional paycheck.
