A lot of firearms companies surpassed record profits not even 6 months into this year.
Having said that, some banks back in the Great Depression put sacks of money on the windowsill to tell customers to come and get it if they wanted their money out (banks were having a run on them from fear). It was a reverse psychology tactic that made their clients feel safer. Could be the same token here?

Did I say he was going to take them? You have a reading comprehension problem.

I retract my earlier statement about retroactive tax fees bankrupting them. They must be better financed than I thought.
More likely the price of the rifles will go up.
Equally egregious to me is that, as with bump stocks, there is no compensation to those who purchased items completely legally. The law is effectively being changed retroactively turning otherwise law-abiding citizens into felons. Most of whom passed a background check when they acquired the firearm.

Colion Noir did videos with The owner of Q and the owner of SB Tactical. The videos are very informative and walk through the facts and timelines of what is happening with the ATF. Worth the 40 minutes it takes to watch both videos.
ETA: at one point Noir says that the ATF is making themselves part of the executive branch, the legislative branch, as well as the judicial branch. Since the ATF is interpreting laws, making laws, and issuing orders.

Their overstep is simply egregious

There really needs to be a overhaul of the tax stamp rules. People shouldn’t have to wait a year for a tax stamp. Most people would gladly pay $200 to have a short barrel rifle but have instead opted to buy a brace not to deal with the process. Should be a 30 day process at most. If the atf doesn’t respond back within 30 days then you are automatically approved.
It's not just the stamp cost or time to way, it's the fact that now you have a firearm that is registered with the government. If they decide they want it or make it illegal, they know where to find it.
You don't have that with a pistol and brace setup.

Or draconian regulations requiring you to notify before travel across state lines with say an SBR.

This is why I only have 1 SBR.

Shoot I’ve only bought double barrel shotguns since the 90s AWB. Makes me feel like others feel like they’re safer.

ATF is obviously way wrong here but I went back and looked at Q's marketing on this "pistol".
They really did thumb their noses at ATF and didn't even attempt to pretend this was anything other than what it is. While I realize that we shouldn't have to pretend, it is also pretty crazy to poke the ATF bear.
But Kevin B is the same guy who wore flip flops and shorts to a Remington Board meeting so I would expect it from him.

The SBR regulations are unconstitutional by the very basis on which they were initially deemed to be constitutional.

I encourage you to watch the Colion Noir video that civiltiger07 recommended where the founder of SB Tactical talks specifically about this.

i'll save him the trouble. he mentioned Trump hasn't replaced an Obama appointed chief of the ATF. why? no one knows. probably because pistol braces aren't high on the president's agenda. but to be fair, Trump was the one the led the ATF to reconsider the legality of the bump stocks. not to mention he and pence are in favor of red flag laws and raising the age to purchase rifles to 21.

Out of all of this non-sense, is the “owners of registered SBRs commit far less crime than those of non-registered gun owners” the most idiotic “gotcha” of all?

Exactly. The ATF sucks, but they're a reality. They were essentially minding their own business when it came to stabilizers, and Q started hollering "FU!!" at them and flipping them off. If I was a customer I'd be pissed.

Wishful thinking, but it would be nice if SBR’s got dropped from NFA regulation because of this mess.
