I have a Dead Air Mask, CAT Short Round and Ben, and a Silencerco Sparrow. The Sparrow is the odd man out, it’s just way outclassed by the other 3. The Mask, SR, and Ben are all very close as far as suppression. They just have slight variations in tone. If you go with a light barrel of some kind (the new carbon fiber models, or aftermarket like a TacSol), my preference of the ones I have is the Ben due to the short length and feather weight. If shooting irons I would go with the SR, as it is much thinner and your irons will clear it. Mine are used as follows:
SR on pistols
Ben on my 10/22 with TacSol barrel
Mask on CZ 457 bench shooter and anything FRT due to its durability.
Always been my thought as well, was wondering if the glass itself actually commands that price though.
I was looking on Primary Arms’ site recently, had no idea they had scopes in the $1500 range now. Anyone have any experiences/opinions?

Not news worthy of starting a thread, but for anyone waiting on Form 1 approvals I just got one. 2 months, 25 days.

Same, but after ordering something that it said was in stock, I received an email saying it was out of stock and cancelled. And it didn’t reinstate my coupon :casty:
300 six cylinder to moderately built 460 in an obs F150. Upgraded the tranny and swapped in a Dana 60 front, Sterling 10.5 rear.
It’s awesome, gets every ounce of the 700+ ft-lbs of torque to the wheels immediately. Pins you to the seat when you hammer it.

ETA: can’t recommend the builder enough (Brian’s Truck Shop up in Ar-Kansas) for all your Ford transmission needs for anyone in the market. Custom builds it to your specific application.

I actually was concerned about the weight. However thats a non-issue considering the amount of material they have to remove to make it a 6.6L. The difference of the finished product is roughly 40lbs or similar.

Craziest difference I came across in my swap was having my factory small block E4OD tranny built for a high performance big block. Having some of the beefier 4R100 parts and the triple billet torque converter seemed like it tripled it in weight.

The beauty of the swap is it all stays the same except the engine going from 5.3 gen 5 L83 to 6.6 GEN 5 L8T

Nice. Doubt you’ll run into any of the stuff I listed then
I’m not a chevy guy, but what engine/tranny combo are you swapping from? And what is the new tranny?
May need to get a new driveshaft if the pinion flange to output shaft of the tranny/transfer case distance changed much. If not, a conversion ujoint or yoke may be needed if the one for the new tranny is different than your old one. May not necessarily “have to” change axles, but I would think suspension components would need to be upgraded to accommodate the heavier engine and tranny.

I would also make sure your current computer is compatible, with the swap to ensure all your gauges and shite still function normally.

Cat make specifically for the .300 blk

Fwiw, I have the Apparition Instruments 3cm (which is similar tech, if not the same as the CAT RAT). It was the design that was supposed to be coming on the CACM 300blk rifles, but they have since changed the can coming on those. Anyways, my JL and AC308 sound better. Granted it’s not by much, but they are a hair quieter. I use the AI for my gas gun, and the AC for my bolt gun.

CAT JL/Alleycat 308 is stupid quiet for 300blk. I have the Titanium AC308 on my Mini Fix, tons of fun.

Yep, I got two cases of the Underwood ammo and a Wilson set. Bit of a bummer that the lower is a blem though, and is the only blem item I’ve ever bought that I could easily find the blem on. I’ll just cerakote it if I ever decide on a build for it.

With all that I started to wonder if she was going to have some sort of immortality (may still) since she was so active.

It could be something like the oldest living Warren cannot die by normal means. Like how Richard Warren was still alive when they dug him up. Maybe with him dying by crossing the buoy, that immortality goes to Ruth. It certainly seems like she survived the gun shot.
