I heard that thousands of Honey Badger owners were on a cruise ship that went down in the gulf last month. Thankfully, all aboard survived, but the weapons didn’t make it.

Is this going to spread? I really want something similar, but afraid whatever I get will be illegal shortly after I get it.

Those gun owners need to use their guns. They need to shoot any fricker in the face that tries to take it from them.

If Biden gets elected get ready for a lot more reclassifications. He has already said as much.

quote:

Regulate possession of existing assault weapons under the National Firearms Act. Currently, the National Firearms Act requires individuals possessing machine-guns, silencers, and short-barreled rifles to undergo a background check and register those weapons with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). Due to these requirements, such weapons are rarely used in crimes. As president, Biden will pursue legislation to regulate possession of existing assault weapons under the National Firearms Act.

Not familiar with this particular firearm. How is it different from an AR pistol with a [pick your favorite] brace?

I think the brace itself isn’t a “brace” according to the ATF.

Surely by making a new law, criminals will finally see the light.

From what I read on TFB, its stemming from them showing it is “intended to be shot from the shoulder” on their media. It’s going to be very interesting to see how this plays out. The NFA is literally picking and choosing “intent” based on no facts or proof.

It’s aggravating sometimes but this is why I form 1 all my AR pistols to SBRs.

I said from the get go that this would happen. The ATF really, really, really hates when you shove stuff in its face. The original ruling on the braces was stupid. We all know what they are for. But ATF was going to live with it. And then people started posting videos and IG showing them shooting from the shoulder and never once the brace being used as allegedly designed. So what did they think was going to happen?

Do I like it? No. Is it a slap in the face to the 2nd? Yes. But am I surprised? Not one bit.

BTW, read the original letter. ATF wants to force Q to pay $200 per rifle for every one built and an additional $200 for when they transferred the “rifle” out. $400 x “thousands of rifles” will bankrupt Q.

shite like this is EXACTLY why I stayed away from braces and just registered SBRs. There was no doubt in my mind that the ATF was going to come after them one day.

That day has arrived.

I put whatever stock I wanted on it before it fell out of my boat

There really needs to be a overhaul of the tax stamp rules. People shouldn’t have to wait a year for a tax stamp. Most people would gladly pay $200 to have a short barrel rifle but have instead opted to buy a brace not to deal with the process. Should be a 30 day process at most. If the atf doesn’t respond back within 30 days then you are automatically approved.

I agree to some extent. I have a few SBRs and I have a pistol with a brace simply for the ease of carrying across state lines.

Have Form 1s really gotten that quick? Haven’t done one in the last 3-4 years and it was a couple month wait back then if I remember right.

May go ahead and Form 1 one the only braced gun I have left just to be done with it.
