The Philippines

When I was doing deepwater work in the Gulf on drillships, the Filipinos handled the cooking, cleaning, laundry, and similar duties. They made around $2,000 a month and worked a schedule similar to those on cruise ships. From what I was told, making $2,000 a month allowed them to live very comfortably back home. Supposedly, earning $2,000 a month there is the equivalent to making $120,000 a year here in terms of purchasing power and what not.

Did the Mediterranean Cruise this time last year. If one of your stops is Mallorca, charter a catamaran! Fully stocked, alcohol, food! Swim in the Mediterranean. Beautiful water, perfect temp!
