Reds suck again, Ruben Trevino was throwing gas at 36 mph! :rotflmao:
Oh look, another base hit for Judge and RBI. The DONG binge will recommence tomorrow afternoon.
Dodgers and Cardinals, Astros and Red Sox -circle of suck
DONG expected tonight! Excite!
Is it ok if I am an Astros fan? I guess daily threads it is.

he MLB DONG leader, of course, is Captain America himself, THE JUDGE with 11. Tied with THE JUDGE is some Japanese fella playing for the other team in Chicago.

Judge has 12 DONGs. I am ok with a Megathread, just so long that everyone is allowed to post, regardless of favorite team.

Speaking of the Reds, let’s have a conversation on Sal Stewart. Y’all got a damn good one

Can he keep it up? I mean, we just lost to the ROCKIES by 11 runs.

BRUTAL end to a top 10 career

Wait until at least there's a Game seven before thinking this. Plenty of teams have lost twice after going up 3-0. Lebron is likely the Greatest, as annoying as he is.
Aaron Boone threw this game. Treasonous. Judge had an off day; that's ok, because they get the Orioles next, and it will be a DONG barrage.

Judge still posted: 5-11, 2 DONGS, 2 Doubles, and slugged 1.182 for the series and OPS'd 1.682. Since turning 34, Judge is 6-15, 3 DONGs, 2 doubles, and slugged 1.133, and OPS'd 1.571. Is that good?

Why do people keep starting threads about April baseball GTFO with this

Say the same thing to those doing the DAT and ATL threads, otherwise, shut up

What makes you say that? 2009 Florida struggled against 4 or 5 unranked teams on their schedule that year. They should have got beaten by Arkansas, but they got bailed out by multiple horrible calls. They scored 3 points in the second half against LSU. We beat them 32-13 in the SECCG. But they would have annihilated Bama in a rematch? Make it make sense.

Tebow-led teams were often two notches above after a loss. They absolutely obliterated Cincinnati. Urban Meyer with preparation? Yikes.
The Yankees have won 10 of their last 11,and are 7-1 on this road trip. The Yankees have an insane May, where they have only two days off (they play 48 games in 51 days). Judge is on an absolute heater as he is 6 for his last 9, with three homers and two doubles. He has homered in each of the last three games (none of them being first-inning homers). Judge has reached base on 6-8 PA's, and has five hits in seven AB's in this series, for 13 TB's. Yankees go for the sweep this afternoon. Expect at least another DONG today, as Judge goes for his fourth since turning 34 on Sunday. New pitcher Elmer Rodriguez starts for the Yankees and Evoldi will go for the Rangers. Yankees almost let one slip away last night, but turned a double-play in the ninth. The Captain's solo homerun proved to be the difference.

I would have used Jerry's thread, but it got anchored, so this is for today's game, April 29. The Yanks get a day off tomorrow, before playing 13 days in a row.

At least that was a 1 point loss to a team that finished top 15. It was fun seeing them blast 11-1 Texas Tech in the Cotton Bowl.

Hard to call it choke when the team ends up winning the Natty. That Florida team steamrolled everyone else. It's hard to believe that Florida has never had an undefeated season. Would have loved to see a four-team playoff in 09'; the Gators would have annihilated Bama in the rematch. I'm not sure Florida has ever choked away a championship. In the years that they did not win the Natty, they were just not good enough, or they lost to a team that was as good as them or better (Nebraska in '95, Alabama in '09).

The only major chokes I think of with Ohio State would be '98 Michigan State, '18 Iowa, and '19 Purdue. Hard to call a loss to a top ten Michigan State team (2015) a choke.
Well, it's hard to have winning records when you play the Yankees. The Yankees look like the best team in the last 11 games. Sweep of Texas after today, and an 8-1 road trip. Judge lost in the WS because he had to carry his team. I mean, the Angels had Trout AND Ohtani, and they never made the playoffs. Judge led his team to the WS, and lost to a super team. It's like Lebron losing to the Warriors with Durant.
Ohio State was oozing with talent, especially on the defensive side, but was fairly unbalanced with their "meh" offense (which is unbelievable when you have Jeremiah Smith). Ohio State had the best defense, but Indiana was the more complete team. An OSU-IU rematch would have been interesting for sure.

Why lie?

3rd Rice homered to center (404 feet), Grisham scored. 2 0
3rd Judge homered to left (414 feet). 3 0
4th Chisholm Jr. homered to right center (406 feet). 4 0
7th Pederson homered to left center (415 feet). 4 1
9th Osuna singled to center, Burger scored, Smith to second. 4 2

Judge's gravity has allowed other batters to succeed like Ben Rice. You know Judge never made an out last night? Without Judge, the Yankees might win 75 games; with him, they win 110.
