Pretty sure people here get raging mad when someone posts about hating LA, too. And then they'll even make long drawn out posts about why they think that person is wrong.

Most of the La bashing threads are the same 3-4 posters replying to each other while bashing La.

I wish I could say I'm sorry that you find a choice I made for MY life depressing. I enjoy it here for various reasons...I'm near what's left of my family, I have a great network of friends and have a great job. It's far from depressing to me.

Not to rain on your parade, but this picture is the Government Ditch in Karnack, Texas.

I notice you didn't post any pictures of the terrible traffic, failing public schools, or crumbling infrastructure . To name a few

It is funny when people come on this Louisiana message board and want to list all the reasons they moved from Louisiana. NOBODY cares that you left!!! Nobody cares about where you live. If
you care enough to melt about it in every thread

it's very weird

I never got to see my little bro play in Austin so I'm excited to see a game there. I hope LSU dick slaps all over them. I'm going with a big UT guy.

Every state does have pros and cons. The biggest complaints I've seen about Louisiana boil down to 2 things.

Economics. Primarily in the white collar job department.

As already stated, political problems. The state may be Republican overall, but many parishes are RINO. Couple that with 3 of the largest cities being Blue and you get what we have today.

Overall, Louisiana isn't a bad state. But the aforementioned factors are dealbreakers to many people. Especially if you're not an outdoorsman which is a requirement for most of the things on that list.

Hear hear! Awesome post brotha.

While I hate those LSU Tigers sons-a-bitches for one game of the year (because we can't ever seem to win), I do tend to pull for them because there's always been something about them that I like, and while the cops are crooked AF and the LA politicians make DC ones look like altar boys, the people and culture of the state are top notch.

The food... well, the food speaks for itself.

The food is one reason, among others, as to why I don't mind- hell I look forward to- traveling to the boot.

Other than the problems stated above, other than some fat arses (Mississippi has got that demographic on lock though), or some crime and other universal problems, there ain't a gotdamned thang wrong with LA or loving where you came from.

I've been everywhere, man, but you start to look back on where you were raised and begin to realize, "It ain't THAT bad!"

Think I'll book a room and make a weekend trip over that way, bye now.

Not from LA. Never lived in LA. I didn't go to LSU.

I've been to Baton Rouge many times, I've been to New Orleans many times, and I've been to many LSU games.

I LOVE LA culture, LA food, LA Hospitality. It's what makes me so happy to be an LSU fan. Its what makes me appreciate Louisiana. I live in Connecticut, a booring, freezing cold, non cultured, non hospitable, ridiculously expensive taxed, no pro sport having, non college football appreciating, non hunting, no food having state.

Some of y'all don't know what you have down in Louisiana. Eventhough I have no tie's to the state or school, I'm happy to be a die hard tiger fan and love me some LA.

Out of your entire post there was not one mention of industry, jobs or why people from all over the country would flock to Louisiana.

Everything you posted was gimmicky and can done even if you don't live in Louisiana. Sounds like you're trying to convince yourself.

I get while people want to move and that’s fine but to call Louisiana shitty because of Baton Rouge traffic is illogical.

Believe me in terms of problems plaguing Louisiana, BR traffic is about 1000 spots down the list.

You can have it.

Great post/topic. I moved here from out of state over 20 years ago and despite all the warts, and other than maybe San Diego, there is nowhere else I would rather live.
