Look. Louisiana is awesome. It’s also awful. It is a very special place in the sense that it magically is the best place ever but also it sucks so fricking much and every metrical standard tells you that somehow the US made Somalia a state.

I talk shite about it. But if I ever hear someone talk down about Louisiana I call them out. Because it’s my stupid family member. Of course it can barely count. But they can’t insult it. Only I can.
I think your position is dumb and if vigilante justice were legal I would shoot you over it.
Do you live near an Eataly? They always have some

Trump hates him. So we hate him.

Or Trump loves him? So we love him?

I’m still not sure how Trump wants me to feel on this situation.
Breweries (you could throw a rock and hit a good brewery, but here are some I have been to and recommend):

Burial (my favorite)
Wicked Weed (they have a funkatorium that only does sours and a normal location, both great)
Hi-Wire
New Belgium
Eluvium
Highland

Also, if you keep an eye out for the food truck for Smokee’s Pizza, highly recommend. My friends brother runs it and they make a hell of a pizza.

Yes good call. We will be doing that as well.
I’ll be there as well.

We have the Biltmore scheduled

We were going to do this (no kids just my wife and I) but saw the ticket prices and said frick that.

Can’t be very helpful with kid-friendly activities, but if you need brewery recommendations I can assist.

For restaurants:

Chai Pani
Bull and Beggar
12 Bones
Curate
Vivian
White Duck
Good Fish

I’ll be in Asheville for Christmas. You may choose to take that information as a positive or a negative.

I suppose those in Angola count themselves lucky they aren’t in Rikers.
Will do thank you.
I called them and they told me that’s something they don’t have.

Houston Area Folks: Bone-in Veal Round

Anyone know of a butcher in the Houston area that carries bone-in veal round? Looking to secure some for Christmas grillades and grits but coming up short.

TIA.

It’s kind of a big city. Narrowing down things like neighborhood, price point, types of food you want would be useful.

Controversial take, but you don't owe anyone that explanation. Running for a charity is admirable and takes a ton of work to raise money for. Isn't Boston like $10,000? I'd rather train and qualify over having to raise that kind of money. Plus, you can't just sign up, that shite is competitive for Boston. Congrats! Give that training hell.

I appreciate it. And yes the raise is $10k. I’m not at all embarrassed by being a charity runner over a qualified one. A friend of mine is a qualified runner this year and is an absolute beast - that’ll never be me. But being able to complete a marathon (goal is sub-4hr) and raise a lot of money for a good cause is just fine by me!
Running Boston in April (through a charity not qualified - I never want anyone to think I’m trying to pass as a qualified runner )

Training Day 1 starts tomorrow.

Don’t try and convince him otherwise. Just one less dumb tourist in the way when we travel there.

A one-way trip on the subway is less than $3.

Why do people eat at McDonalds?

Easy. Don’t set the bar too high.

You shut your mouth.

If DJT says it’s good for the country, it’s good for the country. If we keep the pressure on countries, including those inhabited only by penguins, we will win so much we will get sick of winning.

What's positive?

There are positives about BR, guy with “225” in his username.

I grew up there and in the 90s/early 2000s, I had a great life. It was a fun place to go to college.

Sadly it continues to go downhill, and if you’re out of college and not pushing out kids and paying $10k/year for private education, it’s just not a good place to live. So I got out of dodge.

I still love visiting once a year, eating like a fatass, and then getting the hell out.
