We pay for those that don't. Same thing as car insurance.

Because of old people. Most healthcare is spent on the very last bit of life. If we could come to terms with our own mortality and sought to die peacefully instead of trying to squeeze out another day no matter the cost we’d be in much better shape both financially as well as mentally.

Over utilization
Unhealthy population for a developed country
Too many tests ordered. Doctors scared to make a decision.

Because Obama was a fool with nothing to offer the country, his offering was screwing up the health care system for the working class

Somebody has to pay for those ridiculously high commissions for medical sales, etc.

We pay $800/mo for a family of 3. Still a pretty high deductible and they find a copay for every fricking thing. Then today after having been preapproved for and having my biannual CT scan after cancer treatment, I got a denial letter for the scan because Aetna's doctor decided it wasn't necessary. Stage IV cancer for which I finished treatment well under two years ago.

It's seriously fricked up. I'm not paying. They can all eat a bag of dicks.

Because people are very comfortable ripping off big insurance companies, where 100 years ago they would not have been comfortable ripping off the individual standing in front of them paying the bill out of their own pocket.

7 years ago having the first CRT-D implanted, cost was around 125K. Now, 200K. My problem with this is those that just have health insurance that cover little to nothing, how would they pay?

It is heart surgery. You have heart failure. They are keeping you alive. $200k is a small price to pay. Next time simply decline it.

There is a large demand for heart surgery. Small supply of heart surgeons.

$$$$$$

Socialism wont change that, will make it worse actually.

because we spend too much on people who have one foot in the grave

If you are honest with yourself, think about your health situations 60 years ago. You are likely already dead at tens-to-hundreds of thousands of dollars of less impact to the system

As a broker, I wish rhetoric wasn't so easily imbedded into opinion. It's so incredibly complex that reading someone simply saying Obama! or we pay for the poor is maddening.

How much did they pay the actual provider? Health care list price is a fiction completely detached from actual reimbursement rates.

This weigh heavy on me to not have a replacement. But due to the fact, I went into heart failure from a cold. My heart is clear as a bell. Just the left side is twice the size as normal and just don't work. I'm one of those 1/100k to have this happen.

Other then take, for my age, I am in outstanding health.
