What does this even mean in relation to this story?

Anyway, with the NY post there’s usually more to the story.

Back in the day, there was a group called Da Hui, a surf gang that would keep non-hawaiians off the best surf spots. They were super violent.

Hence why Gabriel Iglasias referred to them as “Swollen Mexicans.”

I have been to Hawaii 5 times. 4 for the military and once for a wedding.

It was ok, but not worth the money. Very overrated.

By the way I would support them leaving the Union. They consume more than they produce.

All the locals we talked to and all of our tour guides talked about how they support the nationalist movement for Hawaii to break away from the US and return to the Monarchy. 90% of the locals we saw were poor AF, fat as frick and lazy af.

That’s hilarious. We’d love to cut off those leaches. Zero chance they leave considering the free ride they get from the US government

Yes the Maui trip was awesome and yes, Laguna Beach SOCAL area is every bit as pretty but way too much traffic! The Caribbean is pretty fine too! I loved Maui but, because of the time in the plane I will skip a return trip

If I’m not mistaken Hawaii also has super lame gun laws. It’s not only difficult to hunt but also to just own a firearm. They really don’t like it.

For that reason… I’m out. Give me the free state of Florida

the locals on Maui absolutely hate white people from the mainland. There's three kinds of people on Maui: wealthy mainlanders, hospitality workers that secretly resent the rest of us, and everyone else that are openly hostile to outsiders.

Ironically, it was the "do-gooder" mainlanders that shut down the agriculture business in the name of environmentalism and took all the non-hospitality jobs with them. The whole island is being gentrified by outside money and the native locals can't afford to keep living there. The Tongans and Samoans are Maui's version of Mexicans that actually work their butts off for you. No one wants to hire local natives b/c their lazy as shite.

Im old enough to remember the PR terrorist groups setting off bombs in New York. Opposition isn’t as radical anymore, but there’s still a highly active, and popular, anti-US movement there. It’s a Caribbean Hispanic culture, and an unwieldy graft with the US system. Statehood would be disastrous.

It's more than likely a troll account from overseas, but still extremely gullible to post that account as evidence.

I have heard from a few people that have been to Hawaii that the locals “natives” have a lot of disdain for whites whom they see as colonizers.

This is correct. I've been there 5 times. Most of the time without any issue.

But, I once spent 10 days in Kauai. I stayed in a relatively low budget hotel. There was a group of people who camped out across the street every day with signs saying stuff like "Haole Go Home!".

I played golf at the local muni. I had a cart. Things got backed up. I caught up with a local guy who was carrying his bag. I asked if I could play along with him. Even offered to let him ride in my cart.

He agreed to let me play with him, but he wouldn't ride in my cart, and he barely spoke a word when I tried to make polite conversation. He was an a-hole.
