A lot of the “activists” at these meetings don’t even live in Frisco. They’re algorithm and meme-addled nutjobs from somewhere else.

Most of the citizens and council there want them to go back to their basements.

t is truly amazing what has happened to Frisco, Texas in the last decade. Mind boggling.

True. A vibrant and growing economy and one of the best places in the country to raise a family. It was a water tower, some corn fields, and an old rock quarry 40 years ago.

Schlitz is an acquired taste to be sure. Maybe someone will buy the brand and stick to the old recipe.

It reminds me of Grain Belt which my dad drank in Iowa. Only for the true beer connoisseurs.

Kauai is the best island

If you only do Hawaii once that’s my suggestion. No harm in doing 2 islands in a trip… Maui and Kauai is a good combo.
There is so much empty old office space and warehouses around, it feels like a better long term plan would be conversion of those. I suppose the financials aren’t in line short-term though. Sigh..
Paxton has about a 3-point lead in the latest polls.

Paxton underperformed his polling in the primary by about 6 points. Meaning there isn’t really a “silent Paxton voter” phenomenon.

FWIW, Talarico overperformed by about the same amount, winning comfortably in what was supposed to be a dead heat.

Dems turned out to vote more than Rs, by about 50K. (not accounting for a small number of party switching voters)
Euro players are doing fine shutting the crowds up on their own so far this year.
I’m surprised Austin isn’t higher. I think that number has actually decreased a bit this year.

A lot to pay for terrible traffic, uncomfortably hot weather most of the year, and hours-long waits for BBQ.
Please take a portion of my hard earned money to pay your buddies.

Speaking of Schwann’s, the beef sanchos (burritos) were awesome.

I feel like the Totinos pizzas aren’t around as much. $.99 and was a college staple.
Dave Mason, a few years ago.

I was an amateur Mason fan before that show. He was a master guitarist and still had the skills.

That was brutal to watch.

Rai deserved to win. Not a fluke at all, he learned the course and improved his score each day… first time for that (for a major winner) since O’Meara masters win.

Have you seen his “sandwich tips?”

An abomination.
College football is probably more mixed than we think. Most coaches don’t like the portal and NIL craziness which are free market concepts of traditional “conservatives.”

College hoops… more liberal
College baseball… more conservative

Other sports likely more liberal since many are probably teaching as well.

The euros treat it as a major (or more) and Americans treat it as a novelty.
Trips to the redneck riviera in a van were a rite of passage in the 80s.

Cults don’t work that way.
Backing up a little and aiming for the bottom of the ball, putting more weight on your heels. Put a tee just above the ball and try not to even graze it when hitting.

There’s nothing more frustrating than the shanks and agree it feels like your whole swing is shite all the sudden. Sigh.
Watched a documentary once and they ran several experiments with speed dating formats, and administered a questionnaire on a number of traits.

For women, height was the only thing statistically more important to them than anything. More important than looks alone, personality, clothing and style, voice tone, etc.

The lesson? Short dudes, invest in some Tom Cruise style chelseas and lose some weight (makes you appear taller).
Get off the internet/social media and news roller coaster for a while.

The whole business model is based on fear and anxiety.
Yeah the real problem is no one, who would otherwise be looking to move or upgrade, wants to give up a 3% mortgage for 6% unless they recoup a lot of that in the sale… so prices remain high even as supply has gotten better.

Remote work ability has really changed the equation too. More people don’t have to move vs. just wanting to move.

Of course that 3% was a major historical outlier.
