He had good years at Kentucky, but it had run its course. He needed a change and Kentucky needed a fresh face. It was good for both parties.

Any argument about Kentucky wanting him back or him ever considering going back is ridiculous. That chapter is over forever.
Our athleticism was on full display today.

Liked our St. Patrick's day caps!
Only Texas could pull that off, but I'm not sure they could ever have the negotiating power that Notre Dame has, because they don't have as many fans in as many states as Notre Dame. That makes a difference in media negotiations.

Reminds me of a line in Godfather III. "Only Lucchesi can reach between these two worlds."

Arkansas has now won nine consecutive series against Mississippi State.
Depth won it for Arkansas. From 60 meters to 5000, we had runners that scored points. Nearly doubled up Oregon.
Too bad for Reuben Reina (who's father was an Arkansas legend), who dumped us for Washington. Shoulda hung around. You'd have a ring.

Arkansas now has 43 national titles overall in indoor, outdoor and XC.

Arkansas had a lot of athletes at the meet and that's why they were able to nearly double Oregon in points. And they were able to score points from 60 meters to 5000. Great team balance.

You can keep your archery championships, bro. How many of those would you trade for one title in football?

I think you mean track and field. That's where we tend to dominate. And the answer is not one. I care a lot more about T&F than football. That's where all the best athletes are.
Arkansas has 144 SEC championships across 12 sports. Alabama has 117.
They also love the American west and our national parks.
So was Bear Bryant, Barry Switzer, Jerry Jones, Douglas MacArthur, Levon Helm, Glen Campbell, Conway Twitty and one of my favorite all-time MLB stars, Brooks Robinson.

Prayers for the Holtz family. Sad news. He was our coach when I was cutting my teeth on Hogs football. Some great memories there.

Those were fun years.
I'll be pulling for Miami. Can't wait to see the Michael Irvin cocaine fueled sideline antics.
