Sorry to hear that. People go crazy when there is money involved. It certainly reveals one’s true character. And usually it reveals that most people have none.

This is why it's so important to have a will and to let all the beneficiaries know who is getting what ahead of time.

I've known people who were scared or just felt it to be too morbid/strange to talk about with their parents, kids, etc. It's worth getting through if you can avoid shite like this.

Good advice.
When my girlfriend’s dad died he left everything to her - stepmother got nothing. It wasn’t a million bucks but not far off. Stepmother went after her hard, multiple lawsuits. Stepmother wound up getting killed by a tornado in the middle of all this. It’s not funny but it kind of is

Sucks man.

My mom made sure I got the small acreage of old Cajun sugarcane property while she still could before any of my siblings could say anything about it.
