If you’re a fan of ETON, checkout Stenstrom, also Swedish, and excellent quality for a little less than ETON

If you’re a good enough customer, they store your measurements.

Not bad, but pricey for what they are. BB is a good sport coat option but not really differentiated when it comes to suits. That said, I've had numerous ones and they were fine. I have not bought suits in a while, but when I did the awfully named SuitSupply was best in class for affordable suits. Most of it is fashion-forward European styling that is not versatile. But their basic navy, charcoal, bankers stripe, etc. traditional suits were absolutely superior. I've worn some expensive stuff (happened to be the same size as a famous foreign politician in the family that would give away his old stuff, Brioni, Feraggamo and such) and SuitSupply was more that quality than not.

The jackets are fully lined at least.
This is how you define insanity in the South. Unlined, all the way. Suit Supply is faster on tailoring, and has better breathable fabrics. BB shirts are still the standard.

I like their sunglasses a lot.

If you’re lucky enough to have pretty standard measurements, just get whatever thing you can find at Dillards. If you fall outside of what off-the-rack designers consider normal, it will be worth looking at bespoke options. Alot of guys in DC used Indochino for that but I’ve heard mixed reviews.

The fits at different department stores (brands) make this reliable. They may carry a brand which is slim fit, which fits my fat arse, and a different brand called slim fit, that I can't fit over one arm.
Off topic, consultants in DC spent more money on clothing than I spent on vehicles and clothes combined. They spent little on competency, but they thought they looked good.

Not legit since private equity took over. Like everything else private equity touches, they turned the quality to shite.

Great on sale, wouldn't spend full price.

Brooks Brothers suits?
Have a blazer from the 1970's still in the closet
Their dress shirts were indestructible through the 1970's
Private Equity owns them now and they are crap.
Not sure about now, but when it came to a suit and you did not want to pay England or Italy prices, you went to Hong Kong when the British still controlled it.

Used ti be excellent...
Well made, with great fabrics. I probably had 10-15 at one point.
Post-bankruptcy its a different story.
The last one I bought in 2024 was complete junk. Had to get it completely reworked by a tailor.
It'll l be the last BB suit I buy.

I think Dillard's has Jack Victor now, which is a nice suit.
Standard measurements are key.
But if you have a 43" chest and a 33" waist, good luck getting pants that dont look terrible.

Nothing special, made by Luxottica like almost everything else.

Still good, but like everything else not nearly as good as they once were. I have some Brooks Brothers suits hanging in my closet that are 20 to 25 years old and look every bit as good as new stuff.

Different suits for different occasions. I’ll wear Haspel all summer, but it just feels cheap to have an unlined coat.

I went shite shopping a few months ago. Nothing fancy just stuff off the rack. Winded up going to Men’s Wearhouse. I looked at Macy’s, Penney’s, Belk, Dilliards and couldn’t find what I liked at any of them for what they had in the store. Mens wearhouse had the best in store selection by far.

Substantial drop in quality from even a decade ago. Their suits now are basically the same as the off the rack stuff at macys. The “B by Brooks Brothers” line is even worse.
None of those look good on me when I’m pulling a 30-day run on the rig.
