Learning about Healthcare Finance and Administration - Bayou Tiger on 12/2/17 at 2:52 pm
I have been thinking about eventually switching over to a career in the healthcare industry, but I don't know where to start learning more. Currently my career is going well and is something that I generally enjoy doing. However, I have always envisioned having an "Act 2" to my career doing somet...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: When should yo my start monitoring your social security benefits? - Bayou Tiger on 12/1/17 at 4:39 pm
None goes in after first $118,500. Bet that changes before long.
Is this part of the supposed new tax plan? I don't follow politics and haven't reviewed in detail, but that would be ridiculous considering us younger folks will never get SSN anyway (due to future lack of funding and/or ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
Is the Ole Miss job considered open or is the plan to move forward with the interim guy?
Can you imagine an SEC team just shrugging their shoulders and letting the interim guy have the job? Too much money is at stake at these big programs to settle like that....

Flooring for Home Gym - Bayou Tiger on 11/5/17 at 2:15 pm
What are some good recommendations for flooring for a home gym? We started simple with a spare bedroom and have gradually been adding on. Nothing extravagant, but with a busy life and 3 kids, it lets me use 30 minutes here, 15 minutes there, to get some good work in. I have been thinking about pu...

re: The Woodlands Check In - Bayou Tiger on 8/27/17 at 8:53 pm
Good so far in Creekside Park, but it will be an interesting night. I will bring the essentials up to the 2nd floor just in case any water hits quickly. Best wishes to all for a safe week....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Harvey ***Catastrophic Flooding Event*** - Bayou Tiger on 8/27/17 at 6:21 pm
Rain has slacked off over here but the water level in the creek nearby keeps marching upwards. This might be cutting it pretty close to keep water out of the house. If the water level starts going down before it enters the house, I will break open a cold one to celebrate....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Harvey ***Catastrophic Flooding Event*** - Bayou Tiger on 8/27/17 at 4:11 pm
Any folks know where to find an estimate of the projected peak level of Spring Creek at Kuykendahl over the next few days? Street drains are handling the water fine now, but concerned that water level may rise quickly when it has nowhere else to go....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Mitch Landrieu plans to spend $500,000 on "root cause analysis" on Aug 5 Flooding - Bayou Tiger on 8/18/17 at 4:23 am
I'm glad the city is so broke that it is going to cost us $500k to determine that Mitch was the primary reason for what went wrong.
The $500k is not to find out what went wrong, it's to find a creative way to blur the truth and place the blame elsewhere. It's a CYA insurance fee of s...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)

If Lou Tepper had Corey Thompson at drop linebacker, things may have gone differently. Thompson is a great athlete and a ballhawk. Hope he lights it up this year....

re: HELOC - Bayou Tiger on 7/22/17 at 5:50 pm
A HELOC is great. I have had one for years. Basically it is a revolving credit line, usually with some minimum withdrawal like $4000. Like a credit card, you only pay principal and interest if you have an outstanding balance that month. Once you pay it off, the credit line remains, but you don't ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
How much do you think about money?
Probably not too much these days. However, I used to think about money a ton when I was growing up, early in my career, and early in my family life.
