Actuaries, professional estimators of risk, are way at the bottom at only 14%.

I did not realize Cheezy Five had been assassinated. Hopefully Baton Rouge can begin the healing process before things get chaotic.

Memorable Late 80s Baseball Cards

I just dug through some old boxes of late 80s baseball cards. Not much of value from that era, but I was pleased to stumble upon these sentimental gems.

Favorite Movie Closing Credits Scene

The 22 Jump Street credits scene cracks me up. I had forgotten about it but saw the movie again last night. They put a lot of creativity and production effort into it.
What are some other memorable movie credits scenes?

re: What does your IQ have to be to work at the USPS?

We applied for passports and went into our appointment at the post office. The postal employee helping us was a middle aged Asian guy, very friendly, efficient, and on the ball. I was stunned and wondering why in the world he was working at the post office, maybe witness protection program or something.

Houston has a good selection of tailoring shops and individuals if you don’t mind the drive.
For a chain, SuitSupply has good quality and value, not top end but strong mid-tier. Their tailors can be hit or miss, but the ones who have been there a while are typically pretty good.

This was a great genre in the 80s, along with Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Ray Bradbury Theater, The Hitchhiker, Twilight Zone, etc.

Interesting. I don’t eat much fast food but actually agree with your combo of Culvers burger, McDs fries, and Sonic drink. We used to have a Culvers nearby and I would crush their bacon cheddar double.

0.46 posts per day, but the average is way less over the past 20 years. I got to 3000 posts within the first few years.

Batman Begins is still my favorite of the trilogy. It pushed a momentum shift in the genre with a grounded, non-campy take.
