Too late; I ready cancelled. Right now I'm in full "a pox on both your houses" mode and watching over the air. I guess I'll get an ESPN subscription the next time I need to see something that isn't on regular TV. This season is in the toilet so I may not need ESPN for quite a while.
DiNardo started the turnaround. It was so bad when he took over that they were letting students from other Louisiana colleges into the student section for free if they showed their ID at the gate. The program had lost any sense of pride and had abandoned its traditions. Bring Back the Magic was more than just a slogan -- DiNardo brought back our identity. He lit the match and started the fire.

Best budget binoculars? Nikon Action Extreme. Get the 7x35 or 8x40. Around $150. LINK
The Sherburne range is likely the closest but not the best. I suspect that the Pearl River WMA range is only an extra 10-15 minutes more drive time. It is a much better option -- safe because it is staffed, targets and carriers available onsite, and well maintained.

I wear my sunglasses at night.

This one is about right for a Seiko: LINK By that I mean that it looks like a Seiko should look (they have a certain style) and is not extreme and therefore hard to wear. Note that it is a solar movement. That's a plus in my book after growing weary of dealing with mechanicals, but many prefer a mechanical movement.

Citizen and Orient would be alternatives to Seiko. Citizen makes a titanium dive watch that is solar powered that would be worth a look. Conservative enough for the office and a no fuss movement.

If you don't know what you are doing, then don't spend a bunch of money at this point. My recommendation is to spend no more than $1K, and preferably a lot less , on a dive watch. Get one that has a black face, is conservatively styled, between 38-42mm, with a metal bracelet. You mentioned Seikos, which would not be a bad option. Note that you can buy affordable aftermarket bracelets for the ones that come with rubber straps.

As others have mentioned, get a Buck. I have a 110 folder and it is great. You can have them custom make one too. The Buck 113 is a good fixed blade. I generally prefer a folder unless it is very cold or I'm on (or in) the water duck hunting.
People would stay if the experience was better. Last weekend I went to another team's home game. It wasn't televised, so there were no TV timeouts. The stadium held 67K. The seats were filled but there were not so many people that doing anything or going anywhere was a hassle. They did have music pumped in, but it was music that the whole crowd recognized and enjoyed (it wasn't rap music). I did not drive, but the traffic did not appear to so bad that one would alter their day to deal with it. Overall, an accessable and easy day of football. Also, there were no shootouts.
If this is how this person wants to get rid of a varmint, then so be it. But it is not hunting and should not be labeled as such.

Seems like this should be addressed by the LSU President...oh, my bad, we don't have one.

TriStar Viper G2 Youth in 20 gauge. Get the one that comes with two stocks (regular and youth).

Go Gators? Finally there is something they are associated with that I like.
I can't stand it when I decide to work from home because I want some peace of mind and one of the housekeepers shows up and starts cleaning loudly (e.g. running appliances, vacuuming)..

re: Hiking/Backpacking recommendations

There are so many pack options that it is hard to make a recommendation. I can list a few opinions that may be relevant for you:

- I greatly prefer a pack with an adjustable torso. Fit is important and small-medium-large sizing just doesn't cut it for me.
- I could care less how much a pack weighs so long as it is comfortable and appropriate for my gear. Save weight elsewhere.
- I like a pack that has one of those shove-it type pockets on the back that you can stuff things in.
- People are fascinated by packs with hip belt pockets. Whatever; they are fine but certainly not essential. And a detriment if you are packing a hogleg.
- I don't think you need to spend a lot of money. Basic options from Osprey, Gregory, or even Kelty should all be fine provided that they fit.

Sierra Designs makes affordable, high quality tents. Not unreasonably heavy but not ultralight either. LINK

I think it would be boring.
The New Iberia haircut on the Roman statue is striking.
All I'm interested in is whether watching LSU play football is fun for me. Under Brian Kelly, it isn't. You lose a fan base when they know there is no hope for improvement. We've reached that point with Kelly.
