I let my kids taste my beer as young children (around 8) They didn’t like the taste (that was the plan) and quit asking in the future. One is a teenager now and thinks all alcohol taste awful.

18 in my house, for my kids.

The drinking age being 21 is retarded.

That said I am not giving his/her friends until the law is changed.

my friend's dad did this. Didn't buy the alcohol for us, but gave us a place to drink and hang out. Saved us a lot of trouble.

and probably kept one of us from dying in a car wreck.

My parents let me have wine with dinner around 15/16 and my dad would give me a couple beers on the golf course around the same age.

Rule was just no driving.

I'll do the same thing.

That’s my philosophy also. I’m trying to teach them about it, have them appreciate the flavors of good beer or taste the different notes in wine. Hopefully get a healthy appreciation of it before they leave he house instead of binging on nasty light when they go to college.

Unless you're paying for the beer they'll still be binging on Natty in college.

I am surprised you didn't go check reddit to copy and paste it here like with all your other posts.

My father let me order a beer on a skiing trip in a colorado rest.

I was 15. He talked the waiter into it.

If possible... ill probably do the same. My father knew I had drank before and wanted to have one with me. Ill never forget it.

Ill probably do the same if in a safe environment.

Those kids should say no if their parents don’t want them to

My first time getting drunk was on the golf course. My grandfather had a cart shed with a refrigerator full of beer in it. I was 12 or 13 and got dropped off with my buddy to play 18 and we immediately snagged about 6 Coors Lights and proceeded to get trashed.
