Sparked by the other thread with the lady who got the family kicked out.

What age do you let your kids start trying alcohol or have their first drink?

Does it count if your toddler grabs your drink and takes a quick sip? Asking for a friend of course.

A little jack in the bottle helps baby sleep.

21. Set the bar high and when they go under it it won’t be that bad.

When I was a baby and I had a toothache, my mama would rub some whiskey on her finger then pour me a couple shots.

I think most normal people “allow” it once the kid graduates high school

Started buying my boy and his friends beer at 15. Would rather them play beer pong at my house instead of at some strangers house.

I even join in and show em how it’s done from time to time

When do you help them get a drink or when do you ignore them drinking?

At an appropriate age.

But growing up I saw adults put beer in baby bottles and give it to toddlers.

I let my kids have a sip of wine or beer when they were around 13 or 14.

I’d rather them have their first taste of alcohol with me around rather than hanging out with a bunch of randoms

Depends on the kid but around 15 I let them have a glass of wine with holiday meals and a glass of champagne on New Year.

I let my 14 year old have a taste of dessert wine the other night.

She wasn’t a fan.
