Other than during the days of Napoleon, are the French historically the world’s biggest pussies?
The way they laid down at the feet of the Nazis in WWII was pretty pathetic.

Go read a history book. Before they had an entire generation of brave men killed during WWI, they were a massive, formidable force on the world stage with arguably the best army in the world for a large period of time.

Americans would pass out at the death toll the French took fighting. They kept dying and simply kept fighting

The partisans who made up the French Underground were straight savages. True that most Frenchmen basically kept their mouth shut and waited for someone else to liberate them.

WW2 rolled around and the French maintained a strictly defensive position they thought was impregnable. They were not ready for the blitzkreig offensive style and how Germany utilized their Panzer divisions. Tanks were mainly infantry support prior to this. Germany used their far superior mobile tanks as a unit in and of themselves. Swept around the Maginot line and laid waste.
The French fought hard and the men they had available stood no chance.
They didn’t simply surrender at the first sign of a fight. That is foolish and ignorant to believe. They were simply unprepared for what was coming their way... everybody was.
It wasn’t until Hitler attacked the USSR and spread himself too too thin that Germany’s vulnerabilities became exposed and the Allies could capitalize.
Read a book sometime. The trend in calling the French weak was a fad back when they didn’t sign up for the war in Iraq and I thought most people by now have gotten over that and this idea had dissipated but I guess some Freedom Fries dolts are still hanging around.
America wouldn’t exist without France in all sense of reality.
