And you’re really far from all the attractions in western Washington.

You mean massive fields of homeless camps, crack addicts shitting in the streets, heroin needles laying everywhere? That's a no from me, dawg.

Coeur d' Alene and the Idaho mountains trump Charleston in ever category.

He probably means the Olympic Peninsula, the coastline, the islands, etc

You know, some of the most beautiful areas in the lower 48

This thread makes me wonder how many people have actually spent time in Spokane.

Most of them probably didn't know that Spokane wasn't on the coast, or even close to it, until it was told to them in this thread.

The OT (and Poli) where storied European capitals are now just large migrant camps and Coastal Washington is just one long street of used needles

Couer is only about 30 miles from Spokane. Got a friend who just moved there.

Most of that is around Pike and Pine. I walked all around downtown from the needle to Tmobile park last month with no issues. The homeless there aren't agressive like the ones in NOLA.

Plus, extending it out a little bit, Whistler, Vancouver, Mt. Hood, etc., etc.

The Smokies are closer to Charleston than Olympic is to Spokane and are about the same distance as Glacier is to Spokane. Plus, again, Spokane itself is kind of a dump.

You have Coeur d'Alene and some nice mountains on the Idaho side, and then not a whole lot else for for hours and hours around.

It can be kinda rough. Aberdeen, etc.

Drugs have decimated the white people along the coast.

It's cute you think I'm a conservative

Guess what dan, did you know not everyone wants to live in or near large cities?

Maybe get out of your bubble a bit?

This. I would jump at the chance to live in the PNW

It is the arid part of the NW. Hope you have some decent money and can find folks to help you get some vacation and hunting time in not-Spokane. I would go with Charleston.

I can confirm that there is absolutely nothing of interest at Dover.

Dover and Spokane for me

Charleston is great, but I have lived in the south my entire life. Would be nice to spend some time in NE or out West

If you have kids, being around in-laws in S'port is tough to ignore though

How on Earth can someone call Charleston "meh"? Do you hate world class food, hot women, and a fun nightlife?
World class food? Easy bruh

Charleston is a very cool city to visit. I could see getting "tired of it" being older with kids

You arent there for just 3 days on vacation eating at the best restaurants and going out every night when you live somewhere

What was inaccurate about his statement?

I've eaten at multiple Michelin star'd restaurants in the US and Europe and there are several restaurants in Charleston that equal or surpass them.
