I've been to Couer d'Alene, nicest place ever. Majestic would be the word to describe it.

It can be kinda rough. Aberdeen, etc.

Drugs have decimated the white people along the coast.

It's really just the Aberdeen/Grays Harbor area. And the collapse of the logging industry is what decimated that area. The drugs followed. Most of the coast is isolated vacation homes.

As far as western WA being full of needles and crackheads shitting in the streets, that's only in a few areas. Some people on this board seem to think all of western WA is just like Pioneer Square in Seattle. That just shows they've never been here.

That said my list:

1. Charleston
2.Spokane

3.Dover

Charleston. Tons to do plus the beach, great golf, and it's
a good concert stop. Frick the state of Washington and Dover/D.C./Baltimore is expensive COL wise. However, depending on your career, Dover might be a good stop.

I'd know this, I would narrow it down to Spokane, Dover and Charleston.

This. If Baton Rouge didn't have LSU, it would be the biggest pit stain in the state.

Dover is ok. Close to a lot of stuff. Charleston is great but work in Charleston, live in Summerville.

OP is military. If he likes to smoke weed he should avoid WA so temptation doesn't get the best of him.

Completely in that class
