I'd get the F Series body
GMC suspension
Dodge powertrain (only if I could get the 12 valve cummins)
Fletcher in Houma has a lineman program that is very good for getting his foot in the door. My son (22) has several friends that went through it and are making damn good money. Most of them for powering construction companies and not your Utilty, Entergy, Sleca, CLECO.
I get along with my boss. We worked together at a previous place and he left. He left and went to another company. He called and recruited me to go with him and made it worth my while pay wise. We talk everyday and get along great

Frontier

Colorados/Canyon Turbo 4 cylinder is a great engine. Problem is with the transmission and infotainment center m, they both suck. My son had a Canyon, it was great looking truck and plenty powerful, pulled my 22' Skeeter with no problem. But the infortainment center went out twice and the transmission shifted really hard till it was warmed up. Also, going down the HWY 70 mph and it would automatically hit thr brakes on him from the fwd crash avoidance system going off. He had the new model, maybe they got better, IDK.

At the time he was looking it was between the Canyon and Frontier, during the vehicle shortage. He decided on the Canyon but wishes he would have got the Frontier. Now hes in an F150 with the 5.0 with no issues.

good alternatives for a surplus of shrimp?

De head them and freeze them. I buy at least 200lbs of shrimp a year.
Shrimp stew
Routeed shrimp
Boiled shrimp
Shrimp fajitas
Fried shrimp
Shrimp spaghetti

Wild caught Louisiana Shrimp is the cleanest, most organic protein you can buy right now. And if you but them off the boat the cheapest too.
Just get an Armada. They are still made in Japan and tow pretty well. I see a lot of them on the Interstate pulling food trailers.

Only ever had Whataburger and Five Guys.

1. Five Guys
2. Whataburger

Five Guys is a good burger, just high AF.
I get it from the wife about 1-2 times a week. Got some cockblocking arse kids still living with us at 20 and 22 years old. It was much easier when they were younger and we would send them to the inlaws or my parents for the weekend. Thats the biggest reason we dont have sex as much.

Garrett Hartley kicked the Saints to the Superbowl.
Hard to beat the Ugly Stick Carbon Elite for the price. Superlight and sensitive.

Ugly Stick Carbon Elite 7' Medium

As far as reels, Diawa, Shimano and Okuma all make great spinning reels.

I'd for sure smash that for a couple months, she got a nice set and I'm sure she knows a dick aint square.
I've asked what's in something before but I never specifically asked for a recipe.
Shrimp dip and Ritz crackers.

1 pound boiled shrimp
Half an onion from the boil
1 pack cream cheese
8 Oz mayo
Salt
Pepper
Onion powder
Garlic powder
Paprika

Grind all that in the food processor and serve on Ritz Crackers.

re: Anyone trot line for crabs ?

Posted by CHEDBALLZ on 8/12/26 at 6:27 am to
I do it on the beach in Grand Isle. 2 sticks, 100 yards line, about 30 yards from first stick put your first bait. A bait every 5 yards every yards after that. Between every 4th bait put a weight. To hold your line down.

My mom's dad use to run a couple 1,000 yard trot lines out of a boat for crabs in Lake Des Allemands. They used salted cow lips for bait. I dont even know if you can buy cow lips anymore.

I always wanted to try it out of a boat but never got around to it.

Fall fishing is great. Island will be empty. I would fish further inland or Belle Pass for specks. Close in rigs should be empty too. Mangroves on live shrimp.
At 18 I worked in a fab yard and our Company President was also an owner in a local bank. Every new hire that came in through orientation went through his spill of getting into a 401k. He showed us what putting just $1000 a yr into a 401k would amount to at retirement age. I headed his advice and Lord willing and the market keeps growing Ill have close to 2mil at 59. My wife has more than me.

So my best financial decision were investing early in a 401k, and marrying a frugal woman who now makes more than me.

My son just made 22, he already has about 25k in a traditional IRA, rolled over from a previous job, 10k in a Roth and about 15k in his new company's 401k. He's well on his way to retiring early. He also has some stocks that he dabbles in that hes doing surprising well with.
We rode 4 full grown adults from Raceland to Avondale carpooling in a Honda Fit and it was big enough and very practical.

Id also recommend a Honda HR-V. Again another coworker of mine had one and we took it to lunch quite a few times. Again plenty enough room for 4 passengers and very economical.

Just put me in front a really good sushi bar. Bluefin toro, uni, salmon roe with a quail egg, a bunch of sashimi heavy on the yellowtail, grilled snapper collars, real wasabi, half dozen raw bayside oysters, and for desert a pack of lifesavers.
