Black people are OBSESSED with the visible demonstration of wealth. Especially when it's new or belonging to the tax payer.

Her kid's name is Braison. Not to sidetrack this thread but names like this are the downfall of America. Everybody's kid has to be special and unique. We can't be John or Frank or Robert or William or David anymore. frick that fatass.
re: When Did The Phenomenon of Democrats Calling Republicans "Nazis" Begin?
Posted by ClientNumber9 on 2/3/26 at 6:22 pm to Harry Caray
Why is it when 100 idiots fly a Nazi flag suddenly the entire Republican party is Nazi. But when tens of thousands of liberals join antifa and advocate communism, the entire Democrat party isn't painted with the same brush?
re: How would Bird fare today?
Posted by ClientNumber9 on 2/3/26 at 7:16 am to prplhze2000
As much as I love Bird, he would not do as well in today's game. He acknowledged as much, saying multiple times in various documentaries that, starting in the late 80s, a new generation of different athletes were entering the game. He stated that by the early 90s they would be peaking at that he "needed to get out of the NBA then", and it wasn't just due to his ailing back.
I think he's still have a role as a passing big man with a great 3 point shot but he wouldn't be averaging 25+ ppg.
ETA: In no way does this detract from his legacy. In the same way an offensive lineman in the 70s wouldn't match up with his 2026 counterpart, the game has just changed with diet, strength training and technology.

re: Are German cars worth the maintenance headaches and associated costs?
Posted by ClientNumber9 on 1/30/26 at 2:24 pm to VolsOut4Harambe
I have a 2022 Audi S4 that's been completely maintenance free (knocking hard on wood right now) and it's such a great little car. It's a lot faster than people realize, handles great and the all wheel drive pushes the acceleration off the line. Launch mode is a lot of fun.
It's got almost 60K miles and it's running as well as it was when I drove it off the lot.

Not forgiving criminal actions and they should be prosecuted, but I don't understand how people fall for this kind of stuff. It's not like they forged an IRS letterhead or faked law enforcement credentials and showed up at your house in suits. How could a 65-year-old person believe that law enforcement would direct you to buy gold and hand it over to a courier to avoid prosecution for a criminal act you didn't commit?

Now do Border Patrol. Then do FBI. Border Patrol has more line of duty and more violent deaths than every other federal law enforcement agency.

I am a fed working alongside these guys. I promise you this is wholly, completely incorrect.
There is a condensed training program for former law enforcement officers, with a follow up training to be concluded down the road but if you think the officers in Minneapolis are college kids with 8 weeks training, you're a buffoon. The average time in service for feds deployed to Minneapolis is 12.6 years (info current as of 4 days ago).

re: After ducking USC, Notre Dama will play eight teams with at least 8 losses in 2025.
Posted by ClientNumber9 on 1/23/26 at 9:30 am to Cell of Awareness
I dunno. I mean, it's bad but I was expecting worse. Most of these games are scheduled a few years out and you don't know how good they're going to be at the time you agree to play them.
Wisconsin, Michigan State, North Carolina, BYU, SMU are not great at all but they are capable of being very solid in any given year. It's not like they're scheduling six or seven Western Iowa States or Bowling Greens.
09/06 - vs Wisconsin (in Green Bay, WI)
09/12 - Rice
09/19 - Michigan State
09/26 - at Purdue
10/03 - at North Carolina
10/17 - at BYU
10/31 - vs Navy (in Foxborough, MA)
11/07 - Miami (FL)
11/21 - Boston College
TBA - SMU
TBA - Stanford (Tentative)
TBA - at Syracuse
As others are saying- if they lose the Miami game and any other, they're likely out of the playoff. You can argue the system is working, at least as far as weak scheduling is concerned.

Take a crack at the starting Tiger defense in 2026
Posted by ClientNumber9 on 1/21/26 at 11:39 am
With Princewill Umanmielen signing this morning, put your best base defense out there:
DE: G. Reliford
DT: D. McKinley
DT: S. Washington (L. Brown?)
DE: P. Umanmielen
WKB: T. Singleton
STAR: D. Keys
MLB: W. Weeks
CB: P. Woodland
CB: D. Pickett
SS: T. Cooley
FS: D. Spears
ETA: Forgot the STAR position! But yes, we might be good enough to roll out 10 players this season.

re: Is it legal for local law enforcement
Posted by ClientNumber9 on 1/16/26 at 7:26 am to RoscoeSanCarlos
Well, don't want to give away my current agency for obvious reasons but I did 10 years in the Border Patrol before moving on to a three letter organization. I've got 24 years of federal service now and looking to pull the plug in the next 18-24 months. It's been a good ride and have seen some pretty crazy things over the years. This job shows you the best and worst of people.
re: Is it legal for local law enforcement
Posted by ClientNumber9 on 1/15/26 at 10:11 pm to Tigertittie
I'm a fed and my chain of command has told us repeatedly that if a local tries to arrest us in the commission of our duties, we are not to entertain them. We are told not to fight back but not to comply with their commands either. We have been instructed to continue our enforcement actions, ignore them and call our Special Agent in Charge directly.

I've been arguing that this is coming. When the NCAA finally removes eligibility restrictions at 5 years, you'll see players play a 6-8 year career in college, make $40M and retire.
