Is inland Washington near the Montana border really the PNW though?

It's a couple hours from Glacier NP, Rainier NP, Olympic NP, Seattle and a ton of other stuff. Close enough for me

Dover not getting near enough play here. You are within hours of some great American cities

Exactly. Which is why it's just above Shreveport and way the hell behind Charleson and Spokane.

Ok that's fine. The best thing we have four hours from here is Gulf Shores and Houston. Still Spokane by a large margin for me

Plus with Spokane being on the east side of the Cascades, you dont have all the rain people associate with the PNW

Charleston you're on the beach and three hours or less from the mountains and Charlotte.

The PNW has always been a varied culture.
You're talking coastal vs inland, but it's all the PNW.

The Cascades are the dividing line.

Spokane is the Shreveport or Jackson, MS of the PNW. Charleston is the obvious answer.

As a human being:

Charleston
Spokane

Dover

Shreveport (though I'd probably just go AWOL)

As a husband:

Shreveport

After the Cascades, you are in what is called the Inland Northwest. That is comprised of the area between Glacier National Park and the Cascades (from east to west) and the US/Canadian border down to Boise (from north to south).

This thread makes me wonder how many people have actually spent time in Spokane.

It’s a pretty dumpy and isolated town. And you’re really far from all the attractions in western Washington.

Charleston is the clear winner for me.
