So she her tickets were scanned but they still boarded her?
How did that happen?

“When she went to sit, someone was sitting there already,” said her niece, Diane Miantsoko, who translated for the French-speaker.
She's lucky she didn't get her arse kicked.

But she said the flight attendant looked at her boarding pass and simply sat her somewhere else.
Failure on multiple levels.

Can you imagine being trapped on a plane with that for 9 hours?

You need to change the title of the thread.
Idiot woman gets on wrong plane, wants money from United Airlines for being a dumbass.

shouldn't an adult notice they are flying to the wrong airport?

Shite happens. The airline fixed the mistake.

Oh lawd, here comes the lawsuits

She takes no responsibility for boarding the wrong flight? It's not that hard to read the gate info you know.

Yeah, I'm not one to knight for United, but I'm not really getting how this is all, or even mostly their fault. Dumb bitch got on the wrong plane.
Would it even be in the same terminal given domestic/international?

So, the lady can't tell what plane she is on?
Posted on 5/8/17 at 1:48 pm to TeddyPadillac
eh, that's partially true, but accordingto the article she had her boarding pass checked twice and united still didn't catch it.

How many dumb adults on airplanes is going to take before they accept some personal responsibility?
This is partially United's fault, but come on.

French speaker. I guess either very bad or no English.
If she had a window seat and didn't notice the lack of an ocean, the level of stupid in this story would be off the charts.

I guess the fact that she didn't see the ocean out the window wasn't concerning to her.

I understand the part on the airlines, but I'm sure it just gets to a point we're they are scanning and boarding and not paying too much attention.
However, how did her dumbass do this? You really have to go out your way to board the wrong flight. And then, her first move is to take it to the media and bitch about it. Seems fishy to me.
Any chance she wanted this to happen?
