I don't think those mistakes are systematic to the degree that people at the last step of the naturalization process, which is both time-intensive and costly, are the ones who deserve more scrutiny.

at what step should people not be able to be declined citizenship? 4th step? 3rd?
quote:

What percentage do you think make it through every step of the process if they weren't legally allowed to be here in the first place?

i have no idea but unlike you i know it is higher than zero. What do you think it is...zero?
quote:

You realize this is the point of an elongated naturalization process, which has many different requirements, right?

I assume you have been a us citizen all your life...how much faith do you have in our government? i mean damn thinking they never make mistakes is pretty amazing.

quote:

Where would be without you asking the tough questions, such as 'yeah, but what if they aren't?'

i wish i could think like you and believe no mistakes can be made by those vetting anyone...i mean shite they are all geniuses right
quote:

Thank you for asking the tough questions, such as whether someone who has already completed several steps in the paperwork for naturalization, including having a Green Card for at least 5 years, is actually here legally. Thank you for your service.

thank you for not understanding that some people still make it thru steps of the process and all the way thru even though they didn't do all of it legally.

quote:

If you are able to make it through the legal naturalization process, with all of that government vetting, without getting flagged or denied that's on the government for not doing their job in the vetting process.

the point is some, even though illegally here, have become us citizens. My point is also how do you know without a doubt all were here legally and none have done anything that could have had their visas or green cards cancelled. Just bc they were almost finishing the naturalization process doesn't mean they did everything legally...which is what you are assuming.
quote:

She already said that they were part of the last step of a naturalization process.

you do realize people who are illegally here can make it through the naturalization process right? it's much tougher but it happens
quote:

Those are folks who have been vetted by the government.

do you have some examples of how long they were here and when they were vetted?

quote:

That's not what we, as voters, were sold. We were told they're going after those with criminal records. Going after kids, immigrants going to court to be legal, or hardworking people who have no criminal record is not AT ALL what we were told would be happening.

WTF is wrong with deporting ALL illegal immigrants?
quote:

Trump’s order retroactively blocked them from completing the legal process because of the country they were immigrating from.

you have an issue with this? why?
quote:

What? Belle is talking about people who have completed the process of legally obtaining citizenship and are getting their ceremonies cancelled. A more accurate analogy would be waiting to walk across the stage at graduation and the university says "actually you don't get a degree, rules changed"

i am talking about people here illegally....or to go along with your analogy people getting ready to graduate but it was found out they cheated
quote:

The folks I mentioned were in the last step of the legal naturalization process

were they here illegally?
quote:

f those folks are already in the legal process and doing it the right way,

so if a guy robs a bank and then returns a few years later and refunds the money he shouldn't be charged?

Penn could be killing it in NIL
i would still hit it and then brag about doing so...of course it would be the hot AF version in the bragging

I wish someone would ask and answer what happens to the bill when illegals show up to the ER... where does it go when they can't/won't/don't pay?

i do too but i think what happens is insurance companies and people who pay their bills pay for their care. The costs are inflated to recoup what the illegals and non bill paying americans don't pay.
one of my friends loves looking for stuff on the curb. One year she picked up a huge star and idk if the cops came or the parish came but she had taken a star that the town of Brusly puts up during the holidays

i think travel and weather will do them in most years. i wouldn't want LSU to travel that much and play half their games in the conditions you see a lot in november in Nebraska, Iowa, Michigan etc.
simply not true. i have used it and never paid anywhere near double menu price. And plenty of restaurants charge fees for pick up now.

I ordered pizza hut a few times and they used dd for delivery instead of their own drivers and there was no extra charge.
