 what a weird thing for them to be concerned with

I know this may be breaking news to you OP, but on message boards, people discuss things. This one happens to be a message board that discusses people playing sports and making damn good money doing it. They deserve to be criticized, especially on a message board and especially when they're playing poorly.

Thinking that players and coaches should be above criticism is quite a limp wristed take and it's a good way for complacency to creep in. Thinking that Jay Johnson should be above criticism simply because he's won 2 titles is absolutely ridiculous. I may not agree with some things people say about him, but it's their right to do so. That's the beauty of a message board, I can respond and put my 2 cents in about why I think they're wrong or I can simply ignore them.

Until then, consideration should be given to renaming this board

Maybe you should consider posting somewhere else where your sensitive feelings aren't bothered. Or, at least not on a message board named "Tiger Rant". Perhaps you'd get along better with the folks over at Sunshine and Rainbows.

Now, what I will say is Jay has obviously earned the benefit of the doubt. However, no one is above criticism and especially not athletes and coaches who get paid for this.
I think the defensive issues have now become mental for this team. Maybe they weren't going to be a great defensive team this year, but they're better than how they've played on defense recently.

I think Yorke is a good example of that. In his entire time at Grand Canyon U, he had 8 errors (IIRC). He has 5 this year. Unfortunately, it seems like he also let that carry over to his offense as well.

It's crazy how poor this team has played defensively. 3 times, that I can remember off the top of my head, Jay has put in a late inning defensive replacement that immediately gets a ball hit to them, makes an error and ends up costing us a game. And those were strictly defensive replacements, not pinch hitters/runners that then take the field.

But yea, Milam has been great defensively this year. The one error he has wasn't the easiest play, but for him it's normally a fairly simple throw to make and 999/1000 he makes that play. Hell, it's possible that if we had a better defensive 2nd baseman, it wouldn't have even been an era. It was a bad throw, but Dardar got his glove on it and probably should've caught it.
Hey now, lsupride is going to get jealous that you didn't mention his name along with those others.

How shocking that Boosie is defending the Ole Miss fans

Very predictable

Yorke also starts and hits 3 home runs

LSU wins in a run rule 25-3

I would love to see that for Yorke, but I don't think he's starting any more games at this point. Feels like Braun will be your 1st baseman going forward. Maybe Yorke gets in to pinch hit at some point.

I guess you did say bold predictions though, which both of those I quoted are.

If I had to make a bold prediction, it's that we squeak out a win against NW St. tomorrow and then sweep aTm this weekend at home behind solid pitching and defensive performances. That sweep will be the launching point for the Tigers making it to Omaha in back to back years.

It sucks the aTm vs Texas game got cancelled yesterday. They'll be going in to Baton Rouge well rested.
So, you're going to ignore what ProjectP said and what notbilly laid out for you and still go with this scenario you just made up in your mind?
 it is pretty wild that so many people only read the title.

No wonder propaganda is so effective.

he is very good but definitely not great and ive thought that throughout his tenure

You're putting together quite the melt after that sweep.
It's very fitting for this team that the go ahead run for Ole Miss got on base because of a ground ball that not only got through 1 player, but 2. And that was after Jay took Stanny out and moved Braun to LF after he's been very serviceable at 1st base the entire weekend.

What should've been an easy out turned into a go ahead run because this team can't field worth a shite.

And don't even get me started on all those damn shifts. Ole Miss killed us this weekend in the shift.

Never thought I'd say this, but Mike Bianco schooled Jay Johnson this weekend.

That was a beautiful play and nice hustle by Sheerin!

Now I gotta log back out because I'm superstitious and they played better when I'm not posting.:casty:

Get Paz out of the game now!

To be fair, Paz got a ground ball that should've been a fairly easy out to make.
Good thing they took Braun out the game for Yamin at first

Now that we’ve tied it up, I think I’ll join the thread. I figure all the whiners and pussies will leave now.

Thanks to you rejoining the thread, Ole Miss was able to get out that inning without giving up the lead.:spank:

Hold it down baws and bawettes. It's just too beautiful of a day for me to watch this and not be outside for a bit. 69 degrees right now with a high of 71. :pimp:
