How many push ups could Trump do in his most fit years? Trump beams Health & Fitness like he beams choir boy.

The biggest reason PE gets cut is funding issues so unless he's going to also draft a proclamation that magically pays for the teachers and equipment needed (as well as insurance for sending kids up the rope) this shite is never going to happen.

Schools waste huge amounts of money.

Not that I know of. He pretty much got rid of any scoring and any kind of "challenge", I guess so the pencil neck weak kids wouldn't get their feelings hurt. Obamas thing was more about personal health than an actual challenge.

Personally I believe these kids should be put through a daily boot camp.

Getting electronics out of the classroom should be more than enough to fund PE programs.

Really, dads can basically have de facto PE classes with their kids outside of school hours by taking the kids on a bike ride or a jog or whatever. PE is not very essential as far as educational things go

PE is also a means for kids to get out of a damn chair and get their blood flowing, which is essential to learning

What an ignorant take. Go spend 30 minutes researching the development of the young male brain. It is vastly more difficult for boys to learn when there is a lack of physical activity. It is actually a requirement for boys to learn at higher rates and this modern setup of forcing boys to sit in place for 8 hours is stunting their learning significantly.

Finland has some great studies on this topic.

Here! Here! Having obese sloppy out of shape kids is a security nightmare and a medical emergency costing all of taxpayers money. If they aren’t playing outside and not in sports they need an adult to put them through a course.

I remember having to run a 10 min mile (kids who could not, had to keep trying until they did). We had to climb a rope and do sit-ups and pull ups. Then we were all lined up for scoliosis exam and the fat pincher to measure body fat.

No one was shooting up schools back then

Well we had a shooting in the high school parking lot.

We could keep guns in our vehicles in the school parking lot, and so my cousin Robert took advantage of it and was carrying his new Remington 870 unprotected in his truck. Robert had not bought a gunrack for the back window yet so he had it propped up on the passenger side.

After school let out, he was about to show his shotgun off to his buddy and reached in to take it out. The gun went off and now Robert had extra ventilation in the roof of his 1956 Ford pickup.

Mats for pushups and sit ups, a track for running and some balls for team sports. Doesn’t have to be ornate.

I support this. Kids need a way to burn off energy instead of sitting in class all day. Even 45 minutes of doing some kind of physical activity makes people more productive and mentally focused. Over the past two decades schools have moved away from this. I know Deer Park basically eliminated recess in middle school.

As usual….just because Trump’s name is attached to this initiative, the board’s leftist come out against it and mock the initiative.

quote:

Kids of all ages benefit from the movement in their school day. It’s good for the brain and the body. In a perfect world we’d have PE embedded in their day, especially after lunch.

This is correct. Study after study has shown that kids who break for physical activity between learning sessions retain more information. Physical activity is fundamental in helping children learn and with mental health

Yeah imagine being against PE. It should be a no brainer but somehow isn't because muh Trump is fat.
