I imagine the Venn diagram of posters who hate this idea and the posters claiming Biden was a perfect picture of health up until August 2024 is a perfect circle.

Auburn had a swimming requirement at one time. I don't know if they still do. I hope so.

I remember that. Plus, we had to tread water for 5minutes.

trump isnt exactly in the best shape and i voted for him 3 times and outside of the H1B and spending so damn much, i pretty much agree with 95% of his stuff

but how the frick did bringing back the presidential physical fitness test become a political thread?

i mean jesus christ, who gives a frick who is bringing it back? i would have cheered Obama on this too. I dont care who does it.

posters who hate this idea

I read through all 6 pages and couldn't find one who "hated this idea". A couple questioned funding, and a few were making off-topic or snide remarks about concentrating on what they perceive to be more important issues. That's it.

RFK, Pete and others are certainly in amazing shape. but trump himself isnt but who the frick cares? he is in good enough shape to play golf and have a wife hotter than 99.999% of any of ours.

he is a bigger guy and its more spread out but i dont even think it matters, he is 80, strong enough to play golf and keep his wife happy...doesnt really matter what we think and was not the point of the thread.

Also of course you know Linda McMahon”s former husband also found a different way to get muscle back in the eighties. Steroids was used for weight loss believe it or not.

The biggest reason PE gets cut is funding issues

LOL. No. The biggest reason PE was cut is that students refuse to do it, and their parents threaten to sue if someone makes their little angels do jumping jacks. We went from an outdoor society to an indoor society during the rise of the computer age. By Y2K you couldn’t get a kid on a playground if you tried. And as soon as they got home, they went straight to their Playstation.

Once you have a gym coach, OE literally costs nothing outside of his salary. Its an hour of calisthenics and running. Its boring. Its hot. Its work. No one likes physical drudgery even when its good for you. And we went from the notion that kids were students to kids being Customers . And the customer is always right.

You may remember Obama got rid of this and told kids to play video games instead.

Jesus, yall just be making up shite, Yes Obama cut the Presidential Fitness Test, but he replaced it with the Presidential Youth Fitness Program which assessed health versus athleticism. It was a shite program, but had nothing to do with playing video games.
