Lane Kiffin Tells LSU Fans To ‘Start Drinking Earlier’ For Alabama Game

Lane Kiffin wants LSU fans to move up their Saturday routines and bring plenty of noise for the Tigers’ afternoon matchup against Alabama.
Discussing the 2:30 p.m. CT kickoff, Kiffin pointed to Tennessee’s crowd against the Crimson Tide as an example of the impact fans can make during a daytime game.
“Tennessee supposedly set the noise record against Alabama, which you could see in that game and affecting Alabama’s offense,” Kiffin said Monday. “And that was a 2:30 Central kick. So let’s break the record.”
For fans used to a night game in Tiger Stadium, Kiffin had a simple suggestion: start everything four hours earlier.
“So if you’re used to 6:30, four hours earlier, start your day earlier, have breakfast earlier, start drinking earlier, whatever it is, your routine, just move it up,” Kiffin said. “Go to bed earlier Friday night.”
“We should have a city shutdown at like 10 p.m. Friday. And everybody goes to sleep.”
Kickoff from Tiger Stadium is set for 2:30 p.m. CT Saturday on ABC.
