Oklahoma Fires Offensive Coordinator Ben Arbuckle After South Carolina Loss

Oklahoma is making a change to its coaching staff.

The Sooners are parting ways with offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle, according to multiple reports Monday.

The move comes just two days after Oklahoma's embarrassing 42-25 home loss to South Carolina, which dropped the Sooners to 4-4 on the season.

Oklahoma's offense has struggled throughout the year, entering Saturday's matchup ranked No. 114 nationally in total offense.

During the loss to South Carolina, Oklahoma fans were heard chanting "Fire Arbuckle" as the Sooners managed just 71 yards of offense in the first half.

Arbuckle was in his second season at Oklahoma after previously serving as the offensive coordinator at Washington State.

The Sooners will look to regroup Saturday when they travel to Gainesville to face Florida.
