Trump bringing back P.E. To schools.

You may remember Obama got rid of this and told kids to play video games instead.
As you expect the woke crowd is upset about this Presidential P.E. Challenge saying in will encourage bullying and that some kids can’t do it . Blah , blah, blah

The biggest reason PE gets cut is funding issues so unless he's going to also draft a proclamation that magically pays for the teachers and equipment needed (as well as insurance for sending kids up the rope) this shite is never going to happen.

every kid should have 1 hour of PE every single day, Pre-K through 12th.
should be structured exactly the same across the nation. similar to Gymnastics strength training or the La Seirra program and the fed gov should pay for the upgrades across the schools to make it happen and use DOD or USaide money currently being money laundered overseas to make it happen.
Physical Fitness is a national security concerns just like JFK said 50 years ago.

If it’s not a coach, PE teachers are the first ones cut with school funding cuts.

I've rarely seen a person who needs a PE class quite as much as Trump himself does.

It used to make me so sad to see absurdly fat kids walking around the school. It honestly sets your kid up behind the 8 ball pretty much for life when you allow them to get obese before they even hit puberty.

Really, dads can basically have de facto PE classes with their kids outside of school hours by taking the kids on a bike ride or a jog or whatever. PE is not very essential as far as educational things go. I guess you could argue that PE is a little more meaningful in Yankee states where it might be the only opportunity for kids to exercise in the winter (unless they have access to some indoor gym other than the school gym) , but it's a little hard to see how PE is that essential in SEC states where you can exercise year round.
With that being said, there seems to be something bizarrely ironic about how this fatso who eats McDonald's at every meal is promoting PE class.

Gotta disagree. Kids of all ages benefit from the movement in their school day. It’s good for the brain and the body.
In a perfect world we’d have PE embedded in their day, especially after lunch.

I’m all for more emphasis placed on the importance of PE. I guess some areas of the country are neglecting it. They do a big fitness competition for public school elementary kids in our area with medals and standings already, so I don’t know how this will change what’s already done.
When I was in college, every student had to successfully swim one 25 meter lap (didn’t matter how, just had to make it from one side to the other without touching). I can’t remember if it was to receive the mandatory PE credit or what consequence was for anyone who couldn’t. I’d like to see something like this become normalized. Knowing how to swim literally saves lives.

this also extends to recess. It was pretty jarring touring schools and they would rather proudly say kids only get 15 minutes of recess.

Absolutely.
We’ve pushed to eliminate anything but the “testable” subjects and it got lost with arts and humanities as well.
People are healthier when they’re well-rounded.
