I would send me kid to Jesuit and not consider any other school.

Also, this list is fricking terrible. Dunham ahead of Jesuit? lol
The top 4 should be something like Jesuit, Newman, Episcopal Br and Country Day. I don’t know anything about some of these other schools. But Dunham etc are a huge step back.

Look down the board for the thread on Dutchtown HS.
It is the #13 public school in the state but the top one for non-selective.
The list of top 10 selective schools like Ben Franklin and BRMHS are also included.

You have no clue what you’re talking about. CD sends kids to Ivy League and elite schools every year. We had a grade of 50 send kids to Harvard, Princeton, 2 Brown, Vanderbilt, and Washington and Lee. The Princeton went on to be Chief Technology Officer at Robinhood. Pretty good if you ask me. It’s always amusing to hear some Bro Martin or whatever grad muse about what they think Country day is like, however.

I don’t know about now, but about 10 years ago or so, Curtis worked those kids academically and reminded me of how it was when I was in school vs how taught in the Catholic schools. Not dissing Catholic, was just different. It wasn’t a cake walk, at least unless it was for sports kids.

Honestly I've never really met anyone out of Jesuit, Catholic or Episcopal that was more impressive than kids from large Texas public high schools in good districts

TBH, the most impressive kids from Episcopal go elsewhere for school and rarely if ever come back.
