With the amount of cheating that goes on even in marriages a guy would have to be naive to just trust that the kid is his.
And most guys don't ask for the DNA test because they are afraid that their wife will get mad.
If she is angry about you wanting to assure that the kid is yours then it's likely that the kid isn't yours, or she isn't sure if it is yours.
This is so lawyeristic. The dumbassness of this statement disregards that relationships are delicate instruments and just the act of getting a DNA test for no suspicious reason violates the trustbond of that relationship. There are things you cant unsay or undo in a relationship without bad damage to it.

I was coming to say the same. They didn’t even offer to have my husband sign. In Louisiana, if you’re married, I’m pretty sure your spouse is automatically assigned father on the birth certificate until you get a DNA test and court process to get it changed.

Marriage is awesome if you found the right spouse. It is also a lot of work on communication and sacrifice. People need to realize because there are rough times to marriage and you made a commitment to each other to work thru it.
