Zion still a centerpiece?

Is this true? Is this just to get his trade interest up? Is the Pels front office watching the OKC / Spurs series and thinking Zion is what we need? Maybe he will hit 2 three pointers next season .
Just listening to Locked on Pelicans, said Mannix reported coaching candidates were told Zion is staying.

I understand fans don’t like BK, but why would a high ranking person publicly say these type things. Praise current coaches and LSU, keep it professional.

Interesting. I asked on this site about that and was basically called an idiot for not knowing that the coaches gave the official site the updated depth chart ….
I’m not sure why fans ever thought the roster wasn’t a problem. Our “best” player for the last 7 seasons is the height of a SG, but is a one dimensional player / scorer at the basket.
Take the best coach in their prime and you wasn’t competing for a chip.

I guess I’m confused. Why does 8 matter? The Peis tried to win games. If they had the draft pick, they probably tank . It’s not the same .
There is no top 30 player that would agree to go to New Orleans

If Cam also played a part, why do they talk like they want him back? Of course it’s just words, they haven’t brought him back.
It also could be some current coaches. If you get a coach fired, some coaches from other teams could take that personal. I’m not saying it’s correct coaches, just it’s a possibility.
