11 yrs. Longest I’ve ever driven the same vehicle. No problems yet but I wish I was the mechanic type because I can’t imagine taking on a car note right now.

Mine just turned 12. 2014 Ford F-150 bought in the summer of 2015. About 132000 miles on it. It's doing this weird thing where it's extremely slow to crank after sitting up for about 36 hours (Friday night to Sunday morning). Takes it a minute to get cranked; I think it's not maintaining pressure in the fuel lines or the fuel pump is going.
Anyway, stuff is finally starting to go wrong other than typical maintenance. Intend to fix things until it doesn't make sense financial sense anymore.

My truck: 2006 Silverado bought in October of 05 and just crossed 80K a week ago.
My motorcycle: 2006 Kawasaki Nomad 1600 with around 40K on it.
Wife's car: 2010 Camry with 150K
At age 74, I'm thinking my vehicles should outlive me if nothing happens to them.
Wife's car may need replacing in a few more years, or she can just take over my truck if I become a pile of ashes before then.

If you have to drive that much, why not keep the old truck and buy a fuel efficient car?

A Hummer is pretty much the opposite of whatever gets me from A to B.

That shocks me as all you see around here are late model SUV's and trucks

Good. Endless consumption is a lost cause.

Work/personal truck, just bought new f150, cash. Put a employee in my old truck. Wife has a 2018 Lexus, no loan. No plans to upgrade in next 5 years.

My car is 10 years old and starting to have minor troubles (sensors, plastic parts breaking, etc.). I am likely going to invest a couple grand in keeping it running well because it offers basically everything I want and avoids issues in post-2020 cars.
Naturally-aspirated V6 with over 300 horsepower
A tested transmission
Screen is doing fine and gives me the basics
Tactile buttons
Works with Android Audio
Luxury comfort
The newest generation of cars looks like they all have problems. I made a thread on it a while back.

Both 2021s. Both purchased in the selling slum right before inventories went dry and prices soared. Planning to keep them for a while

Yeah, mine is about to turn 10. I'm going to try to get 4 more years out of it while I still have kids in college. I expect it to start costing me some money over the next few years.

We're rocking a 10 year old Tacoma and 9 year old Outback. Both were bought with the intention of going until they died. Buying a car is an all-around shitty experience, so we we'd rather minimize those experiences.

My truck: 2015 with 168k
College kid: 2016 167k
Wife’s car: 2025, 25k
I’m driving my Tacoma until it dies. College kid in grad school so he gets to buy his next one. Wife’s car has a payment but as long as just one payment all is well.

2016 Chrysler Town and Country 201k
2017 VW Golf 40k miles
2018 Audi Q5 145k
2023 VW ID.4 (electric) 45k
2023 Chevy Bolt (electric) 20K
2023 model cars will be paid off by next year. 2016-2018 cars paid off or paid in cash.
Only 4 drivers in the house and 5 cars. Trying to nurse the POS Chrysler another 25k miles so I can drive it right to the junkyard.
If it was up to me I wouldn't have another car loan till I die.
