It's technically not the last day as I usually start picking up spot starters a week before the season ends if I think I am going to need the extra counting stats. I prefer to load up on starters a few days before the last day because you would need some FAAB money left over on the last day to ensure you get the spot starters you need. The best option is to have good enough starting pitching all year that you don't need to use this risky option at the end of the season.

Either way its a known strategy and there is at least one way to combat it. If you think someone is going to load up on SP on the last day and you have some FAAB money left over you can grab the starters and just not start them. Thwarting the ability of someone to load up on the last day. Or at the very least grabbing the most attractive starters and just benching them.

I think all the stats count. But its not without risk because if you are picking up 7-8 SP's in the last week they are going to be crappy SP's. You run the risk of gaining points in K's but losing some in ERA and WHIP. I look at the tradeoff every year and the SP avail late in the season. This year it wasn't worth me to risk trying to gain too many points in counting stats while risking losing points in ERA WHIP.

I think i picked up around 8-10 SP's in the last week of the season and got one QS.

Historically Lane's offense were predicated on getting the ball out fast. Sam needs to understand this and just execute the proven offensive plan they have in place. This is from a passing perspective but Lanes offensive also needs to establish the run.

Not before the sun comes up but they do work long hours. In the contract they can ask for something like 2 half days a month. A half day is termed as an 8 hour day. When I was a preloader the drivers would cuss me out when I loaded them on their 8 hour day. Acting like the kid making $8 an hour is making the decision of how many stops to put on their truck.

I also 2nd the Pillow Cube off of amazon. It was recommended by a spine doctor who at the time was not affiliated with the product. Not sure if she is now or not. But my wife and I both have one as does one of my kids.

It's called a pillow cube not a cube pillow. But I am sure either one would work fine, but the pillow cube is the original and the others are knockoffs of the design.

Ohtani counts as one player.. You choose to put him in as a hitter or pitcher not both. so if he is pitching and you put him in your pitching slot the hitting stats don't count for the day. If you leave him in your pitching spot by mistake and he doesn't pitch you still don't get the hitting stats.

I assume if you are in a Double header and he is pitching say game 1. you either choose to get hitting stats for 2 games or pitching stats for one.

Makes for a interesting draft pick. 6 man rotation in LA so he isn't going to get the innings of a team with a 5 man rotation. You lose as much as 17% of his offense if you choose to start him every time he pitches. So if he hits 60 homers in a year you probably only get about 50 of them due to him sitting every time he pitches. I checked and there was not a huge difference in his offensive output from a regular DH then a DH when he pitches.

Was my neighbor in Oxford. Don't know him personally but he has a beautiful family and him and his wife were always outside playing with their kids. That's all I got.

I hope they at least interview Pat Fitzgerald former Northwestern coach. He got shafted and at least deserves a interview. He should absolutely be coaching somewhere.
