The reflecting pools and the museum at Ground Zero were incredibly powerful. Each pool is a massive, sunken square set exactly where the towers once stood, with the names of the victims engraved around the edges.

People aren’t recognizing that this is actually one of the most underrated lines in the Office. Perfectly represents a certain strain of millennial

Grand Canyon
Me and my wife went to Arizona last October and for two people that have never been out west it was truly a magical experience. It’s a completely different world than SE Louisiana, or anything on this side of Mississippi.

Saw the Grand Canyon on TV a lot, but until I went there I did not comprehend it's size
The Grand Canyon is on my list to see but Mt St Helens was impressive.
NYC is amazing to anyone who has not been in a major skyscraper city. I have also been to Chicago but Manhattan just goes on and on for large buildings.

1. USS Arizona Memorial - the absolute hushed quiet of respect when you walk in and then stare at the wall that lists the names of the sailors and marines who are interred right below where you are standing. Awe inspiring.
2. The louvre in Paris. The bulk of Western civilization's art is kept here. Stand in front
of The Raft of Medusa for a while...pretty moving.

The Great Lakes, specifically Michigan and Huron in my experience. Seeing a body of water that size, in your mind you naturally think it's salt water but it's entirely freshwater.

A serene vista of the Blue Ridge mountains from the Parkway on a clear day. Pictures don’t do the sight justice.
Other mountain chains might be more spectacular, but there’s something about the Blue Ridge and the Southern Appalachians that looks and feels homely.

I agree. I’ve wondered if there are that many people on the street, who is in the offices? And what if they all hit the street at the same time?

We went out west earlier this year. Took the boys to see Mount Rainier. Got to the gate and asked the lady how far it was to the visitors center and lodge. 30 miles once you were inside the park. A lot of that was switchback mountain roads but the park and mountain were massive.
