You people are legitimately retarded. “Having a spot” should mean a place where you and your family are standing. Not “I’m going to get here a day early and block up 5x the space than we actually need to set up a second living room”

It gets more ridiculous each year. A tent city protected by an ever expanding wall of ladders that could keep the Mongols out. Why can’t people just be normal and walk up and watch a parade with their family and turn around and go home? And, if you really want to set up a full fledged tailgate, then why be so territorial when you’re not even supposed to be set up there anyways?

The aggression from these people is strange as frick, and it’s not just the tent city, it’s a general vibe around the parades that used to not be there. You can get yelled at just for standing in one spot to check your phone if it’s too close to a row of chairs. Lady, I’m not trying to encroach on “your spot” on a public sidewalk, I’m trying to find my kid a spot to maybe catch a glimpse of the parade.
