re: "flock" camera outrage, is it really ngos fighting deportations?

The system that Flock put into place has not been around for decades. Besides advances in the cameras themselves (image capture and clarity), the Flock system uses a connectivity matrix to link all images and data. This allows them to track and predict patterns, using AI. Like I said, this has not been "around for decades" (excluding NSA/ Military held proprietary usage).
I moved my daughter into Samford 8 years ago!
Remember it like it was yesterday. 2 1/ drive to Atlanta made weekend visits easy.

U2's first 5 studio albums were great. After that, they really lost their edge.

And the delicious part was that, to Norman Lear’s utter disgust , Archie Bunker became a folk hero Because of his frank gruff nature and unrepentant attitude.
Not exactly. Just like the Fonz in Happy Days, Archie became a popular character because the show was a hit. Norman Lear realized that he had to soften the character while trying to keep his basic personality. Just go back and compare the first two seasons to the last two. Archie was just a sweetheart at the end of the series run. They writers changed him.

Of course they are, just look at Natalie Harp.
re: Is Nike's woke, left-wing activism catching up to them? Stock price hits 12 year low.

In general, Nike is arguably the most expensive shoe that you can buy. Combine that with a failing economy, and there you have it.

Fascinating reading.
just curious... how did they determine the definition of disruptive in this study and how many kids were disruptive? Did they ask the subject whose earnings were being studied to recall disruptive peers?

Not necessarily a big fan of their music, but Manhattan Transfer and ABBA need to be in anyone's top 5.

I scrolled down for about 6 or 7 posts and did not see Crosby, Stills and Nash. Unbelievable. Suite Judy Blue Eyes alone should vault them to the top.
Bet you didn't know that she has two teenage daughters. Their names are Parolia and Fateegia.
Exactly. With the small amount of food they had they all would have looked like Ausxhwitz survivors. But no, the kids grew up healthy and plump. And those animal traps? GTFO....

We were dealing with a dishonorable people.
More like we were dealing with people who had gold under their feet. The US signed two treaties with the Cherokees that established their sovereign territory. Once gold was discovered on their lands, the US tore up those treaties. Yes, very honorable.

We didn’t join WWII to save the Jews like a lot of people think.
I don't know anyone who believes this. Do you?

Patton was right
Agreed. He's always right. Patton Oswalt is my favorite comedian.
Prissy and Lady-like are not the same. I married a real lady, who was not prissy. She was graceful, polite and classy. She did not need people to do things for her all of the time. This is what made dismembering her and using her bones to build a nice end table very hard for me.
re: How did your parents meet?
Posted by nealnan8 on 8/16/26 at 7:40 pm to HailHailtoMichigan!
At a Tulane frat party. They started dating steady about 3 weeks later. Dad was on a ROTC scholarship and went active duty Navy about a year and a half later. They got married right before that and spent their first year married on base housing at P'Cola.
Obligatory "does a bear shite in the woods?" comment inserted.
I was only commenting on the focus of the Catholic Church when I was growing up, not what I believe.

I was there about 5 years ago, so I hope it's still there.
I was in Germany on Nov.9, 1989, when the wall came down between East and West Germany.
I was in the Superdome to see Michael Jordan, a freshman, sink a shot from the corner to beat Georgetown in the championship game of the Final Four in 1982.
I was at Tulane Stadium in 1970 (south endzone) to see Tom Dempsey kick a record 63 yd. field goal to beat the Lions.
