Like someone said, it usually takes some time for the spinal shock phase to end to see if there is any improvement. But with such a high level injury he is a very bad situation right now.

Jeremiah Williams continues to fight for his life.
Today's news reports he's still on a ventilator.
The local paper continues to follow his story.

I have been following updates on Twitter for Christion Abercrombie, the TSU player who was injured playing Vandy.
His mom tweeted yesterday he had his 1st meal by mouth since he was injured 9/29.
I came across the following in the Twitter search
It was connected to a Caring Bridge link for a kid in Maplewood, MN
It looks like he is doing much better & has a shot at a full recovery.
I don’t know if the 9 brain injuries is true but my goodness, I cannot imagine what those families are going through.
I pray that this young man continues to fight & can recover with a good quality of life.

Tennessee State U linebacker Christion Abercrombie's brain bleed and emergency surgery stunned the football world, because it happened on TV at an SEC venue. High school football has had NINE similar brain injuries this season. Only the fatal one was reported nationally.

Zach was playing football on Saturday, October 28th, 2018 when he suffered an injury resulting in a brain bleed on his left side. He was taken by ambulance to a local Hospital where he received an emergency craniotomy to remove the left side of his skull to allow his brain to swell. He immediately responded positively. He stayed stable overnight.

The high school player from Georgia who had a similar injury to the one in Nashville passed early the following week.
That's a good update for Christian Abercrombie. Thanks for sharing that.

horrible, so sad. That makes my heart hurt.
not comparing the two in anyway but a wall in a visiting locker room fell on an Ala HS team tonight before it started, sent quite a few to the hospital, game obviously cancelled. LINK

It’s terrible. I was listening to local radio and the sports guy got choked up when he said it on air. So sad for his family and friends.

Maybe it would have helped, maybe it wouldn't have, but someone has got to ask the question of why wasn't an ambulance at the game that could have treated him immediately. If it is not required by the state or school district that needs to change.

Is it required in Louisiana? I'm not certain but idk if I've ever been to a high school game where there wasn't an ambulance present.

Looked on the LHSAA website and couldn't find anything. It may be required by school districts. I have also always seen an ambulance at every high school football game I've ever been to in Louisiana.

I feel terrible for his family that he passed last evening. How tough it might be for his parents to outlive their children and then his passing in such a freak accident..
Prayers sent.

Probably got an urgent call and had to leave. It's not like these small towns have unlimited resources.

Man, I hate to hear that. What started out as a great, fall night of football turned out to be the worst day of his family and team mate's lives. All have been changed forever.
Prayers for him and his family/friends.
