Maybe for now. They still don't even know the full scope of long term issues that GLP-1s cause quote:While effective for chronic weight management, long-term effects include potential gastrointestinal issues, significant muscle mass loss, and rare risks such as gallbladder, kidney, or pancreas issues.

Such a dumb take. Now, do all the health issues and chronic disease for obese people and compare.

It doesn't even matter. The costs of obesity are present now and they are

massive.

I'm trying to remember an Ozempic hottie.

It's better than being fat...but it's definitely a "look."

There are waaaaay more that people don't know about. They are just losing vanity weight and using it to maintain. Everyone focuses on the ones overdoing it, they are in the minority.

How would you know?

You see pictures that reinforce this view.

While the success stories go unnoticed, unreported, or upvoted.

Ozempic has illuminated a group of people who placed their self worth in their fitness...and have lost their mind at the idea that some overweight people are no longer overweight.

I think a lot less of this group than the group that takes Ozempic.

I much prefer ozempic people to fatties. Reduces costs on our healthcare system.

Though ozempic had all sorts of horrible side effects
Same only different on expenses, no?

The only Ozempic people that Scruffy finds distasteful are the ones that end up with the “Ozempic face” and start looking like weird anorexics.

Don’t forget about the over-toxed Botox people either.

I think it’s because a lot of them lie about it and claim they did it the hard way. Like fake natties with steroids

People who judge others are the worst. Miserable assholes who suck the air out of the room and ruin a party.

Who cares?

This thread again? If there is one thing the OT hates, it’s fatties trying to improve their health.

This article is a ridiculous take. As many have said, would you rather them stay obese? Also the cost of obesity on our healthcare system is astronomical. There are more studies out showing GLP1s are lowering the risk of cancer, heart attack, stroke, liver disease etc

It's not that dumb. I mean, how many times have we heard about a new and fast, magic solution to a something that turned out to be as problematic or more problematic than the original issue? But obesity is a gigantic issue, so I can see why people might take their chances either way.

any healthcare costs of the side effects pale in comparison to the incredibly costly chronic disease it helps treat. And it’s pretty well tolerated if dosed correctly.

I disagree. A fat person cheating to get skinny is still better than a fat person IMO
