I just think its hilarious that Americans publicly hated "magic pills" and blamed them for society's ills, until they found one that helped them control their desire to overeat.

While I responded to your comment, I wasn’t really responding to you. I was pointing out the hypocrisy of fitness freaks who use testosterone and peptides to be fitness freaks but lose their shite because someone takes a GLP-1.

Are we? I'm a physician that's been using GLP-1's for over 20 years. I'm not seeing this. I also oversee 4 mid-levels and another physician. Had a few cases of pancreatitis with Byetta, they can exacerbate unknown GB disease that was going to show up anyway, but these side effects are waaaay over played. Each generation gets safer, more effective with fewer side effects. This "new medicine" bullshite shows the ignorance of many. Ozempic goes off patent next year. That's hardly new.

Natural is the best way,but that shite hasn't been working. Neither has adipex or other amphetamines.

Yes we are. Perhaps not you but side effects are starting to manifest more and more.

Do GLP-1 Drugs Like Ozempic Cause or Prevent Vision Loss?

Studies presented this week at the world’s largest ophthalmology meeting offer mixed results on the popular weight loss drugs and eye health

ORLANDO, Fla. — Since a study published last year found that patients taking GLP-1 drugs — the active ingredient in Ozempic and Wegovy — may be at higher risk of developing an eye condition that can cause blindness, researchers have been working to learn more about a possible connection to vision loss. Two new studies presented this week at the 129th annual meeting of the American Academy of Ophthalmology offer mixed results: one found GLP-1 drugs can increase the risk of diabetic retinopathy and non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION), while another study suggests the drug may offer protection against dry age-related macular degeneration (AMD).

I take mourjaro. Better then ozempic. And I wished like hell I could excercise. Had a triple fusion on my neck five years ago that went bad. Arms were paralyzed for four months. Luckily I got movement back but at only 50 percent.

Last year started showing the same symptoms I had before I had surgery. MRI revealed I have 8 levels below my neck that has bulging disc and spondylitis. Just walking siezes up my back and makes legs feel like jello.

Only part of my body that is fat is my gut. Found out I have non alcoholic cirrhosis and my liver is swollen. So they put me on that medicine to get my weight down. So there isn't as much pressure on my back.

When I was younger, I worked out all the time. The Dr told me I was born with narrow spinal canal and had they caught it thirty years ago, I wouldn't be in this mess. So not everyone that takes weight loss drugs are doing it to cheat. By the way, I weigh 220. And never use a motorized buggy when I shop. I did when I was paralyzed. But iam at a point I can walk as long as I can hold on to the cart most of the time.

I care because I care about humanity and if it’s not for health reasons you are doing a lot of harm to your body but you just don’t see it. You lose a lot of bone density and muscle mass. Those two things alone should scare anyone just doing it for recreational reasons

Given all the health risks associated with obesity GLP-1 use should be mandatory.

Root causes?

Treating symptoms > Treating root causes
(That the right way to go?)

There are so many junkies now because of advertised drugs.
Instead of the doctor recommending you something you just tell them.

Laughable.

Yeah but they need to come clean and share the real truth about the science of marijuana compared to all other drugs especially alcohol.

The majority of people on here or in general running their traps have no clue what what they are talking about. Could not care less about the opinion of anyone else. I want to look and feel the best I can.

Been on TRT and added in reta a few months ago. Blood work is the healthiest its ever been. Got my losartan dose reduced to half. Body fat dropped about 7%.

You have to workout and change your diet on GLP-1's to ensure you don't become vitamin deficient or lose bone mass. You do those things and you will have very few issues. Anyone saying anything different is a simple jackass

I didn’t say make it illegal I was asked why I cared and I answered. I don’t feel people should use any tobacco products either and look down on the people who do

I have a daughter in law who is a beautiful woman. She’s 42, has had three children (one six months ago), and makes $850k per year (no pics). She’s a very pleasant woman, too. Dislikes Trump but never mentions it, and was a sport when, the day after the 2024 election, I put a life size cutout of him in the driver seat of her SUV.

I just found out she used Ozempic after her third and does a monthly maintenance shot. I’d say she’s a keeper, though.
