Is that map right in that there is not one single state where the obese % is less than 21?

Down-voted because there's nothing remotely or even relatively healthy about consuming refined sugar. It's poison.
I understand but my point is it is still healthier than HFCS. That's not even debatable anymore as science proves so more and more every day.
ETA: Of course the healthiest option is to consume neither.

According to the CDC website:
Percent of adults aged 20 and over with overweight, including obesity: 71.6%

It's not in my nature to eat like that but sometimes constantly worrying about weight and diet just gets old.

It’s much worse in the south. People down here are truly disgusting. All races and creeds have one thing in common down here, obesity.
I love the goddamn food though.

Still healthier than high fructose corny syrup but I agree on what you are saying.
This is factually incorrect. They are both refined and concentrated sugars. When your body processes them, there is no difference between the two. They both produce a high blood sugar and therefore insulin response in the body.

Yes, fat people are everywhere. But the ratio of fat:fit is alarming in the south compared to other areas I’ve traveled. and i travel a lot for work.

It would help tremendously if people didn't eat like every meal was their last meal. Overconsumption is a big problem.
Also the poster who pointed out the problem with all of the sugar water people drink is spot-on.

It's always funny to me when I was living in Cali or just traveling in general and I land back in DFW or IAH on my way to Lake Charles and the sheer size of the average person changes.
right? I mean its like Cali has better weather and is more conducive to outdoor activities.
whoda thunk it?

I just came from San Francisco. They were there too. It really wasn't much different.

If you're traveling through the south, you will encounter 1 in 3 adults who are not just overweight but obese.
In Texas, for one, the state health dept. is preparing for an oncoming diabetes epidemic as obesity among young people is so much higher than just 30 years ago.

This is because we stopped fat shaming
Fat shaming works
Never stop

That has some to do with it. Not much. In reality it’s the foods we’ve accepted in the south, poverty, and general fat acceptance culturally.
