I traveled this weekend for a family thing and along the way, at various bathroom stops for my wife and kids, I just couldn't get over how fat everyone was.

The average American is a disgusting mess. That is all.

You couldn't have just added this to the too fat to fly thread?

No. We need to talk about this. There needs to be a discussion.

Where were you traveling? Not doubt there are large people everywhere but it's just so much more common in the South.

It's always funny to me when I was living in Cali or just traveling in general and I land back in DFW or IAH on my way to Lake Charles and the sheer size of the average person changes.

We had a neighborhood wine night thing last weekend. I didn’t want to go, but my SO made me. It was a bunch of couples ranging from 40-60 years of age for the most part. Just your normal meet and greet. My SO and me were the only ones there who were not fat.

We talked about it on the walk home. The discussion was sparked by how many of the fat humans actually drove less than 1 mile to the neighborhood park area just to stuff wine and snacks down their fat faces.

Dude. It's everywhere. I was in Alabama but also have to travel up north for work a few times a year and there is not much difference. The average American doesn't care at all about being fat. There aren't as much of the regional disparities that there were just a decade ago.

I went with the family to gatlinburg this weekend, it was my first time there. Ya know how at the beach you can rent bikes or segways to cruise around on? On the "strip" area of gatlinburg they had kiosks to rent mobility scooters like the kind in grocery stores. Fatties everywhere. We went to Dollywood and of course they also rented out mobility scooters for the obese and these thigns were high tech, like they had canopy shade structures attached and everythign.

Northeast or Northwest? I think there is a regional disparity there too.
