Brutally sad. Incredible story. Don’t blame yourself for taking the test. God bless you and your family.

Other than the suicide part this kind of thing is very common now. The situations like this that I have first hand knowledge of have just ended in divorce, one after being married for 45 years

Given the importance of understanding paternity and the ease with which it can be done... there's no good reason not to do that at the same time you do an amniocentesis to screen for major medical issues. If there were such a thing as maternity fraud you know women would verify that shite.

I googled 23 and whatever it is and apparently there are a bunch of horror stories such as this one. Sickening

Some technology we aren't capable of handling.

Edit: what you guys are missing is he gave up his dream of being a doctor. He gave up his life for a lie. Everything he wanted in life was ripped away by this woman. Everything. Career, kids, all of it.

Fuuuuuuck. If that’s real then it’s just about as brutal as the former Aggie football player that had a schizophrenic break, and hacked a jogger to death with a machete. Then just weeks later the jogger’s widow committed suicide because of the grief.

Absolutely agree with this.

How does someone cheat for 11 years and not get caught, or succumb to guilt and tell the truth? Sneaky, and no fricking scruples, I guess.

This doesn't surprise me at all.

On average, women are incredibly manipulative and brutally ruthless creatures. I'm generalizing and I've taken a bunch of red pills, but the thing is, I actually don't want it to be true, and I don't seek out examples of this, I just keep seeing it over and over in my daily life.

Sounds fake

Reddit stories usually are fake.

However, the whole DNA kit and finding out the paternity thing happens.

I wonder home many lives have been altered by that test, and not in the good way

what would be really sad is that the genetic test was wrong.

the wanna be surgeon never would of made it as a surgeon because he didn't have the wits to question the test.

and if the second genetic test confirmed the first, the wanna be surgeon never would have made it because he wasn't mentally tough enough.

so what we got is a wanna be surgeon that is so dim witted and soft, it is a good thing he landed a job at his dad's company because he wouldn't have made it on his own.

You did not do anything wrong.
It is not your fault.

All you can do is try to live the best life you can for your family.

It’s shocking.
Consider getting a mental health visit with a family counselor.

The saddest part of this story is that you aren't excited about your pregnancy. You have the chance to be the mother that your mother wasn't. This should be one of the most joyous times of your life.

You can't control what other people do/did, but you can control what you do going forward.

Your Dad was your dad. The other a-hole was just a sperm donor. I pray for your heart and psyche to heal.

The surgeon is the MOTHER! It’s a woman. Y’all didn’t see that one coming.
