Night time house lock down check in thread

What’s your routine for shutting down the house before going to bed.
Do you do it or does your wife do it?
My wife never does. My routine is walking around and physically checking all doors are locked and any lights are tuned off. I don’t check windows since we rarely open them during the summer heat.

Make sure the driveway gate is closed, physically check the locks, then turn off any lights that are still on.
If we’re both up, then we’ll both share the routine. I’m usually the last one up tho.

I say Alexa goodnight and it locks doors, turns off lights, turns on exterior lights, sets my AC where I want it, turns on my white noise in the bedroom, and tells me tomorrows weather.

I don’t have a wife, so it is obviously me.
Typically turn on the security cameras, set the alarm, lock the place down and close the garage door after I eat supper.

Not in any particular order:
Eyeball the locks and lock if not locked. Set the alarm. Shut off all the lights. Hit the car lock key fob for my truck or use the app to make sure it's locked.

I’m in a gated community — about 700 acres, and my house also has an electric gate. So my lockdown is minimal. I turn off the courtyard fans

I live in a gated community with cameras and security. I don’t think I’ve locked my front door or my car in 6yrs.

Check the shotgun and 9mm. Make sure the wife is alive (we are old). Bring the cat in. Check that all the doors are locked. Take meds. All is well tonight.

Take the dogs out, make sure the door is locked, check on my mother in law (she's 85 and lives with us) ,and then go to bed with the wife.
