My wife is a unicorn in the area of turning lights off. She's a light Nazi. I'll be working in the garage, lights on, and step inside to do something for a minute. If she sees the garage lights on, she'll turn them off. Even though I'm about to go right back out there.

I've owned two houses with alarm systems. I used the one in the first house for a couple of years, but it was a gated community and very low crime so I eventually stopped. Heck, there were several times I didn't close the garage and nothing was ever missing. I don't even know how to turn on the one in my current house.

I'm always the last one up so I let the dog out to pee, let him in and lock the back door. Then check the front door, then check that the garage door is closed. I've missed the garage door a number of times in this house too, never had anything go missing.

Is there a wife out there that knows how to turn a light switch off?
I’ve been slowly conquering the kids and wife leaving every gat damn switch ON in the house by replacing switches and fixtures with occupancy sensors. I’ll one day have the lights off in my motherfricking house when they should be

I just go to sleep. If the door is unlocked it is unlocked.

They don’t get back here too often. Too many cameras I figure. And you get lost trying to get out.

Lights turned off. Only one door in my little house is used for entry/exit, so I usually check that it’s locked. However, I go a few nights a week not thinking about it, so it remains unlocked.

I don't think I've locked my doors in the last 10 years. Do all of you live in the hood?
