Hey guys, i have an idea. You know how we have a shortage of supply in the single most important sector of our economy?

Lets make it even harder to reach ROI on massive capital investments for each new drilling location.

That should spur an economic boom!

fricking morons

They don't WANT economic booms. They want misery. They want you depressed and pissed off and willing to give up all of your property and freedoms. A broken people is easier to reform.

The lack of left wingers in here must mean the talking points haven't dropped yet. It will be entertaining when they do appear and tell us what a great idea this is

you mean like every successful company.

You think big oil isn't giving back to their employees? I know i don't have a pension like my buddy that works at Chevron does, even though i work for a multi billion dollar global company. I know i don't get profit sharing or whatever it is that Enterprise Products gives to their employees. I have a buddy who's 40 and is going to retire soon once he hits 20 years with them b/c of their more than generous benefits package for their employees.

Electricity taxes.

Then it won’t be any cheaper at all than charging vs filling up at the pump eventually

These fricking idiots would fail ANY economics class at ANY level of education.

They don't know the difference between profits and profit margin. Oil companies might make more dollars, but at the same or lower profit margin as before.

I used to work in that industry, and I would be shocked if GPS wasn't mandated in the next 5 years for this very purpose. If you gave me raw GPS data, I could prove/disprove any numbers you gave me 4 years ago, I can't imagine what they have now.

The more profits a company makes the more taxes that company will pay, and the more money the government will rake in. That’s how it should work.

Why do we need another tax? Taxes are already in place.

And not only that apparently Biden is going to end the order that is blocking over a million migrants from entering the country. That's just what we need along with all this other crap going on, over a million more people streaming in pining to suck on the government teat.

Great job Biden voters

These idiots have no clue how a commodity works.

Exxon isn’t arbitrarily raising the worldwide price of oil. The average price from 2015-2019 was 50-55 dollars a barrel. They want them to pay 30-50 dollars a barrel in tax?

We won’t have an oil industry left.

This crap always phases out right at the income level that some guy who hangs around Circle K all day and has a broken Cutlass in his yard considers well-off. It's horseshite. Nothing should phase out based on income, ever. That's THEFT.
