my wife had a dream one time some other guy was fricking her and when she told me the next morning i won't lie i was mad as hell and thought about it the entire day.

I would never be confused with a social conservative, but monogamy has a value for society. That's why as soon as we started grouping together in societies, we started (1) creating religions to merge with the state to reinforce rules to decrease conflict that we learned via societal trial and error; and (2) enforcing monogamy as a standard (which is part of #1 but maybe the most important part so it kind of deserves its own mention).
And look, if you don't want to be monogamous, fine.
